00:00First of all, I am so inspired by your character, Dwayne, all these years later.
00:07And so what does that mean for you to know that generations after generations are still
00:13loving the work that you guys do on A Different World?
00:15It's unbelievable that the age range of people who enjoy this show still,
00:22who have found it and relate to it. I knew we did something good
00:28after we got off, when we were on, I didn't know. I was like, you know,
00:32we're just trying to do our best. But once we finished, I saw the void.
00:36And the fact that you and people of your age, younger and older, gravitate to it,
00:43it proves just how good it was, how well it was written, how well it was thought out,
00:48planned and performed.
00:50And you come from a creative background, your mom Beth Payne, fashionista.
00:55So when it comes to that creativity that you always have been around,
00:58like how did you how are you inspired by that?
01:00And how did you use that in your own creative ventures?
01:03Wow, my mother, she taught me how to dress and taught me how to have a little bit of style.
01:08And I learned to listen. First, you learn a lot more by listening than you do by talking.
01:15I learned that. And so yes, I took that and I tried to apply it everywhere I could.
01:21And any favorite behind the scenes moments that you can share
01:25when it comes to a different world? Because I see you guys are all here tonight.
01:29So obviously, you're still in touch. You're still connected.
01:32So what is it like kind of reuniting with everyone?
01:34We always have a ball whenever we get together. It's like yesterday. It's like 1991 all over
01:40again. We love to see each other. We love to hang out. We all make each other laugh.
01:46There are way too many behind the scenes moments for me to pick out or even remember just one.
01:53The whole it was like a college experience. Like we never got crazy drunk and remember that.
01:59But it was it was as close to college as I as I ever got.
02:05Okay, so my last question for you is what does Day Not Like Us mean to you?
02:10Oh, sometimes you got to pop out and show.
02:14That's it. To me, that's my favorite line in the whole joint.
02:18Because even if you down, even if you're underdog, even if you've been written off,
02:23sometimes you got to pop out and show. Get back up on that horse. Thank you.
