00:39Foreign syndicates allegedly behind illegal offshore gaming operations or Pogos have been
00:44trying to flee from different points of the country.
00:47Winston Cascio, spokesperson of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commissioner, PAOC,
00:51says they got reports that Pogo bosses were trying to get out of the Philippines via Puerto
00:55Princesa, Davao, Zamboanga, and Cebu.
00:58Zhang Jie, who held majority shares in the Lucky South 99 Pogo in Porac, tried to leave
01:03the country from Davao Sunday, June 23, but was intercepted by immigration.
01:07PAOC says Catherine Cassandra Ong, also known as Cassie Ong or Cassie Lee, who is tied to
01:12the Porac Lucky South 99 Pogo, is one of the three Chinese nationals still unaccounted
01:17for.
01:18But immigration is certain that suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo is still in the country.
01:23Senator Risa Ontiveros says this is not only a national problem, but a regional and international
01:28problem.
01:29Fugitive Arnie Tevez will return to the Philippines after Timor-Leste grants the Philippine government's
01:36request for extradition.
01:37The Justice Department has yet to announce the date of Tevez's arrival.
01:41The former lawmaker refused to come back to the Philippines after being implicated in
01:45the 2023 assassination of Negros Oriental Governor Ruel de Gamo.
01:49In March, he was arrested by the International Police or Interpol, National Central Bureau,
01:54and the Timorese Police in Dili.
01:56Tevez applied for political asylum in Timor-Leste, but was denied.
02:00The Philippines has no extradition treaty with Timor-Leste.
02:03The government used the United Nations Convention on Transnational Organized Crime, to which
02:07both the Philippines and Timor-Leste are signatories.
02:10The extradition process took some time.
02:12The Timorese Court of Appeals only concluded the extradition hearing on June 18.
02:20InDrive officially resumes operations in the Philippines.
02:24InDrive currently allows passengers to book four-seater vehicles in Metro Manila, Bacolod,
02:28Baguio, Iloilo, Butuan, and Cagayan de Oro.
02:32The app allows passengers to choose their drivers and vice versa.
02:36Passengers are presented with a list of drivers, their respective rating, car model, and history
02:40on the road.
02:42Drivers meantime can check the profiles and desired routes of their passengers before
02:46accepting a booking.
02:47InDrive maintains its fares remain cheaper than its competitors, an edge it must keep
02:51as it attempts to grow in a market long dominated by Grab.
02:55The company aims to secure at least 10,000 slots from the Land Transportation Franchising
02:59and Regulatory Board for its driver operators.
03:04Democratic President Joe Biden and his Republican rival Donald Trump traded the tax on abortion,

03:17Biden, 81, sounded tentative at times, stumbling over his words on several occasions.
03:22Trump, 78, rattled off falsehoods, including claims that Democrats support infanticide
03:27and that migrants have carried out a crime wave.
03:30Studies show immigrants do not commit crimes at a higher rate than native-born Americans.
03:35As the debate unfolds, Biden appears to hit his stride, calling Trump a felon, while Trump
03:40hits back by bringing up Biden's son's conviction.
03:43Disappointed about the attack on the U.S. Capitol by his supporters, Trump refuses to
03:47accept any responsibility.
03:49While polls show a tied race, Biden trails Trump in polls of states that traditionally
03:53decide presidential elections.
