00:00Thank you. Thank you, Veronica. Familias, families, keeping families together.
00:07Manteniendo las familias juntas. This is the common thread of all these executive orders.
00:15Not just a spouse of a U.S. citizen, a child of a U.S. citizen,
00:21but they've been here in the United States over a decade, really over 10 years.
00:27The average may be 23 years.
00:30So these are folks that have been in America for a long, long time, lingering, waiting for this to happen.
00:38They're married to a U.S. citizen, and of course, this effort, this executive order, will keep the families together.
00:46It won't force them to go back home to adjust their status.
00:51They could do it from right here, from home, the United States of America.
00:55Ellos pueden hacer sus cambios a su estatus legal.
00:59Y aquà mismo, de los Estados Unidos, no tendrán que volver a su paÃs natal.
01:05And DACA recipients and dreamers, if we educate them and we train them, let's give them the work.
01:14The economy needs them, and they've already been in our universities, so why not give them the opportunity?
01:21Many of them came when they were one, two.
01:24We heard from a young man today, a young nurse, who came when he was three years old.
01:30Some of them don't even speak the language of their native country, nor do they have relatives back there.
01:38So they are America's but for one thing, that piece of paper.
01:43So let's give them the opportunity.
01:45Vamos a darle la oportunidad a los soñadores, a los recipientes de DACA, para que puedan trabajar y seguir moviéndose hacia adelante.
01:55Remember, families, familias.
