01:13 First, we want to know what does Internet Flaming mean
01:18 and why it exists.
01:20 Internet Flaming is the posting of provocative
01:24 or insulting comments online
01:26 to start a fight
01:28 or to stir up other people's emotions.
01:31 One of the reasons why Internet Flaming exists
01:35 is to have a different opinion,
01:38 not understanding,
01:40 or sometimes, it is intended to cause trouble to a person.
01:45 And because of that,
01:46 we have some examples of Flaming.
01:50 Here are some of the following.
01:52 First, Fan Flame War.
01:54 This is one of the most common types of Flaming.
01:58 The center of discussion is in TV series, movies, love team,
02:03 and groups, especially in the K-Pop world.
02:06 Of course, we have our own biases.
02:08 And sometimes, we try to avoid who we like or idolize.
02:13 And it is not a favor to others.
02:15 And sometimes, it becomes a reason for a fight.
02:18 Second, we call it Political Flaming.
02:22 It only starts when people have different political views.
02:27 There is a discussion where the beliefs and opinions of other parties
02:32 are questioned by other supporters.
02:35 Another example of this is what we call the Corporate Flaming.
02:39 What is Corporate Flaming?
02:41 Corporate Flaming is a common source of insults,
02:47 attacks, and opinions about a company or business
02:51 and its employees.
02:53 Sometimes, it is due to negative customer experience
02:56 and behavior of the employees.
02:58 And because of that, we are easily persuaded.
03:02 That is why there is a Flaming.
03:05 Sometimes, the media,
03:07 and this is what people receive,
03:10 or we receive this information,
03:13 or we tolerate it, or we oppose it.
03:17 What are the possible effects of Internet Flaming?
03:21 Well, Internet Flaming can cause stress,
03:25 and ruin your reputation.
03:27 And sometimes, it can cause serious problems
03:31 like Cyberbullying.
03:33 We have a law for that.
03:35 We have a Cyber Libel Act of 2012,
03:39 or Cyber Crime Act or Prevention Act of 2012
03:43 for those who have experienced various kinds of misinformation,
03:49 bullying, through online,
03:51 and were affected by a victim because of this.
03:54 We want to know also,
03:56 how does this reflect on our personality or image?
04:00 Internet Flaming is a form of aggressive online behavior
04:04 that sparks anger and insults messages to others.
04:08 So, let's be careful in posting on social media
04:11 because this reflects on you.
04:15 So, RSP, how can we avoid Internet Flaming?
04:20 We should respect the opinions of others.
04:23 Although sometimes, we have a belief that this is the truth,
04:27 that this is what really happened,
04:29 we need to explain it.
04:31 Instead of cancelling people,
04:33 let's call it out.
04:35 Be careful in using or spreading words or comments.
04:39 Once you've said the word,
04:41 it's not yours anymore but for public consumption.
04:44 Avoid provocative discussions
04:46 as much as possible if there's no evidence or basis
04:49 that we're saying,
04:51 it's better if we don't speak first.
04:53 Don't post comments
04:55 and if you need to ask for legal support.
04:58 Aside from the evidence we're saying,
05:01 sometimes, our emotions,
05:03 if we're right but because of our emotions,
05:05 we're wrong,
05:07 it makes us right in wrong and wrong in right emotions.
05:10 That's why we should use social media
05:12 without mixing emotions
05:14 because we can curse when we're angry
05:17 and we can even promise when we're happy.
05:20 So, our emotions should be balanced.
05:22 Internet Flaming is a serious issue
05:24 that should be avoided
05:26 to maintain good and positive online communication
05:29 and it's important to remember
05:31 that it can lead to cyber bullying and harassment
05:35 that has a punishment under our law.
