What do people think of national service?

We ask the people of Cardiff for their thoughts on Rishi Sunak’s decision to bring back national service if the Tories win the general election.

00:08and looking for sort of like, not doing a lot, you can fall into sort of bad paths and

00:12bad traps, you know, so I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea. So yeah, I'm all for

00:18It is frightening. I don't think that's a good idea to, you know, National Service these

00:24days. No, it's a different world now to when, you know, in the 30s, 40s, it's not a good

00:31idea for the youngsters to go into that, I don't think.

00:34Especially the things happening, you know, with Israel right now and being, not prepared,

00:39but almost like being that same as them, with National Service, it would be a bit like,

00:43all right, it's something serious that I'm in.

00:47I think it's just going to wind our age up.

00:49I feel like people will take it serious and they'll jump around their mates and all that

00:54when they're actually there, with the community service as well. No one's going to do that.
