00:00:04 Can you say hard hats, folks?
00:00:06 Hard hats, lunch pails, steel tool boots.
00:00:08 Anything short of a championship this year is a failure.
00:00:10 It's not a real--
00:00:11 Look at this boomer right here.
00:00:12 You've just got so much talent here.
00:00:15 Somebody said we need to apologize for Jaylen.
00:00:17 Can I pull the John?
00:00:18 What are we apologizing for?
00:00:19 What did we say?
00:00:20 What did we do?
00:00:20 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:00:28 But Bobby was here.
00:00:30 And I was in a weird little thing.
00:00:32 [HUMMING]
00:00:34 Here we go, boys.
00:00:35 Here we go.
00:00:37 Another day at the office, Monday night.
00:00:39 Everybody hates Mondays.
00:00:41 We don't want to go to work on Monday.
00:00:42 You know who wants to go to work?
00:00:44 The Boston Celtics, boys.
00:00:46 Hard hats, steel tool boots, lunch pails,
00:00:51 putting in the work, up 3-1 in the series.
00:00:54 No Dunn and Mitchell, a little bit of a problem,
00:00:57 but not big enough problem.
00:00:59 Celtics are on the brink of moving on to the Eastern
00:01:02 Conference finals.
00:01:04 What do we say, boys?
00:01:04 I love the optimism.
00:01:05 I love the optimism.
00:01:06 What do we say?
00:01:09 I don't know.
00:01:09 We didn't rehearse that.
00:01:10 So it's just kind of--
00:01:13 we just improv'd it.
00:01:14 Jimmy, take the lead.
00:01:15 There he goes.
00:01:17 That just took the lead, I think.
00:01:18 I mean, listen, there he is.
00:01:19 There he is, Bobby Manning, speaking of coming to work.
00:01:22 Live from Cleveland, new little hairstyle.
00:01:24 He's got the gel on his hair.
00:01:25 Cleveland's most eligible bachelor, I think, tonight.
00:01:29 Bobby Manning, everybody.
00:01:31 Bobby, I'm going to throw it to Bobby.
00:01:33 He's boots on the-- speaking of steel-toe boots,
00:01:36 he's got boots on the pavement over there.
00:01:38 Agree.
00:01:38 Bobby, you start it.
00:01:40 Let's go, Bobby.
00:01:41 Yeah, similar game to game three.
00:01:44 I thought Brown and Tatum were fantastic, aggressive,
00:01:47 set a tone, paced the offense.
00:01:49 Throughout this one, through holiday,
00:01:53 I mean, you don't win this game without him.
00:01:55 You probably might not win both of these games without him
00:01:59 and some of the underlying things he did on both ends
00:02:01 of the court.
00:02:01 And these are defensive wins.
00:02:03 These are the kind of wins we were asking for,
00:02:05 just in terms of grinding it out.
00:02:07 The fourth quarter wasn't great.
00:02:09 You let another lead slide there.
00:02:11 You let a couple of leads slide throughout this game.
00:02:14 But you set yourself right every time you needed to in this one.
00:02:18 And like Joe's talked about, it doesn't really
00:02:20 matter how you win as long as you're pulling out these wins.
00:02:23 So you give them credit for that.
00:02:25 Certainly some stuff that concerns you in this one,
00:02:27 particularly in the front court, they
00:02:29 continue to be very vulnerable there.
00:02:31 And the Horford stuff isn't great right now
00:02:34 when you look at him and the way he's playing.
00:02:36 I want to talk about that right now.
00:02:38 It's a good win.
00:02:39 Yeah, the Horford stuff is starting--
00:02:45 before, it was just like, well, it's not that big a deal.
00:02:48 They're finding ways to win.
00:02:49 But it's going to become a major deal until Chris Staps gets
00:02:53 back.
00:02:54 Just looking at the numbers on Al,
00:02:56 I mean, it's getting almost disgusting the way
00:03:00 that they're attacking Al and making going at him a priority.
00:03:03 Even when you listen to the halftime show,
00:03:06 which Draymond Green was talking about in 2022,
00:03:08 where Steph Curry was saying, look, whatever you do,
00:03:12 just bring Al to me.
00:03:13 And I'll go from there.
00:03:15 And that's the kind of stuff that you haven't really
00:03:17 heard a lot of in the past.
00:03:18 And when you look at the numbers,
00:03:20 this has not been a good series for Al.
00:03:22 The playoffs in general haven't been great for him.
00:03:24 But in this series particular, game three,
00:03:28 they took 29 shots that Al was in position to defend.
00:03:33 29 shots.
00:03:34 The game before that, it was like--
00:03:36 and tonight, I would imagine it's probably
00:03:38 going to be in the high teens, low 20s
00:03:40 once they do the final stats.
00:03:42 And the problem for the Celtics is that they
00:03:45 don't have an option to turn to.
00:03:48 You could potentially go with Tillman,
00:03:49 but there's some problems with that.
00:03:51 Luke did, I thought, some good things in this game.
00:03:53 He did some not so good things in this game.
00:03:55 Al is still your best option at this point
00:03:57 until Chris Staps gets back.
00:03:59 And I hate to start off on a Debbie Downer note,
00:04:01 but when I think about this game,
00:04:03 it was a hard-fought game.
00:04:04 To Jimmy's point, you're right, but in part
00:04:06 because Al didn't handle his business the way
00:04:10 they needed him to.
00:04:11 You guys are being a little--
00:04:12 I think it's just a little too much Al hate right now.
00:04:14 The dude led the team in plus/minus first of all.
00:04:16 Now, it doesn't tell the whole story
00:04:17 because you got to watch it.
00:04:18 You got to watch it.
00:04:19 He had a nice block there in that fourth quarter,
00:04:22 a nice block that they tried to call a goaltender, a foul,
00:04:25 and Mazzullo challenged it.
00:04:27 And sure as shit, it was a legit block.
00:04:29 And that changed the whole thing around right there
00:04:31 as far as I was concerned.
00:04:32 So that was a nice play by him.
00:04:33 Yeah, I mean, listen, we all know that Al's--
00:04:35 out of the five guys on the court,
00:04:38 he's the fifth guy in the starting lineup.
00:04:40 He's in a role right now that he wasn't supposed to be,
00:04:43 and that should be Chris Staps-Porzingis.
00:04:44 I got to tip my hard hat to him for stepping up
00:04:48 when he's being called upon.
00:04:50 And again, it's Al and then not much else.
00:04:53 Sorry, Bobby.
00:04:54 There's not a whole lot else going on.
00:04:55 Cornette had a nice little start to this one,
00:04:57 but you see the limitations and the problems when you do the--
00:05:00 Bobby likes to go per 36, but only
00:05:02 when it's comedian form.
00:05:03 I think if you went per 36 with Cornette tonight,
00:05:06 you might not like what you've seen.
00:05:07 But I got to give Horford a little bit of credit
00:05:12 for just sticking it out up there.
00:05:14 You feel like he hung in there?
00:05:16 Yes, I did.
00:05:17 I feel like he hung in there as best as he could.
00:05:19 I don't think that he was the reason why Max
00:05:22 Struce was going off on you.
00:05:24 I don't think that he was the reason that Garland was
00:05:27 running circles out there.
00:05:28 So I can't put it on--
00:05:30 I think we're starting the show on the wrong topic,
00:05:33 but that's fine.
00:05:35 Well, yes, you might be.
00:05:37 And the Al was the concerning thing, because it was like,
00:05:41 oh, this could cost them.
00:05:43 Is someone drinking something?
00:05:46 Flushing a toilet?
00:05:46 What's going on back there?
00:05:48 No, we're good.
00:05:50 But you're right.
00:05:51 It's not the way to start, because there
00:05:52 was a lot of other things that went on in this game.
00:05:54 I think it was the one thing that people
00:05:55 were most concerned with.
00:05:56 I want to go to the end.
00:05:58 Yeah, listen, it was the worst part of the game, but whatever.
00:06:01 Yeah, I think there's two things that people will come out
00:06:04 of this and be a little concerned with.
00:06:06 Al, looking his age a little bit, coming off of 39 minutes.
00:06:09 But again, you're up 3-1.
00:06:10 You're going to win this series.
00:06:11 You're going to get Porzingis back.
00:06:12 And Al's going to slide back into his normal role.
00:06:15 So yes, he's miscast at the moment.
00:06:17 He gave you a good effort.
00:06:19 And again, upon further review, I
00:06:20 think a lot of people on Al Horford--
00:06:22 I know John Corrales wrote this for BSJ,
00:06:24 and I agree with the take.
00:06:26 Really, they kind of let him on an island
00:06:28 there on some of those switches with Mitchell.
00:06:30 And Mitchell hit an ungodly amount of step-back threes.
00:06:32 You tip your hat to him, you move on.
00:06:34 But at the end of the day, he actually
00:06:36 held his own in most other encounters,
00:06:38 and I think that was real.
00:06:39 Tonight, he did look a step slow on part of it.
00:06:41 But as Jimmy said, he had that monster block.
00:06:43 He still did finish plus 11.
00:06:45 And again, he is going to slide back into it.
00:06:47 And he's valuable.
00:06:49 The reason his plus minus is high
00:06:51 is because-- and again, not an offense to Luke--
00:06:53 I think Luke's one of those players where you'll
00:06:55 get one good stint out of him.
00:06:59 And then you're always--
00:07:00 20 minutes from the night.
00:07:02 No, but I'm saying you're always playing with house money.
00:07:04 Because the first half, you could make the case
00:07:06 he looked better than Al.
00:07:08 And you wouldn't have been wrong,
00:07:09 because they were playing well when he was out there.
00:07:11 But then the second one, not as much so.
00:07:13 But anyway, the other issue outside of the Horford,
00:07:15 which I don't think is an issue, was
00:07:17 this is the first crunch time game the Celtics have
00:07:21 had in a month or so.
00:07:24 And the first one of the playoffs,
00:07:25 and it was how are they going to respond.
00:07:27 And the answer was not great, but then they did enough.
00:07:30 And so there was definitely a lot to be concerned with,
00:07:33 because they did devolve into isoball.
00:07:35 I tweeted it.
00:07:36 They went from 7.56 in the fourth quarter
00:07:39 to 1-something with one field goal only
00:07:41 until Jalen hit that 3, which ended up being the dagger.
00:07:44 And that was--
00:07:45 It was a moment, John, where they almost
00:07:47 got an 8-second violation.
00:07:50 J. Tatum, you saw him skip over the line at the last second
00:07:54 when he looked at it.
00:07:55 This close, it was as 17 turned to 16 he crossed.
00:07:59 It was so close.
00:08:01 So they went into that insane slowdown.
00:08:04 But good players hit tough shots,
00:08:08 and they willed their way out of it, which was good.
00:08:10 Here's Mazzulla talking about the crunch time.
00:08:13 That's executed on the stretch in a close game
00:08:17 against a good team.
00:08:18 Yeah, I mean, I think it's good to be in those situations.
00:08:21 Again, it takes what it takes.
00:08:23 However we have to win the game, we have to do it.
00:08:25 So I think it was good to get reps playing different ways.
00:08:27 It was good to play against a different defense.
00:08:30 If they were a little bit sharper tonight defensively,
00:08:32 that was good.
00:08:33 And anytime you can work on your execution, your clutch offense
00:08:36 and defense, everybody talks about clutch offense.
00:08:38 I thought our clutch defense was good.
00:08:40 We got stops when we needed to.
00:08:41 We had some 50-50 balls that we got to hang up,
00:08:44 and we executed our late game defense.
00:08:46 So that's just important as the offense.
00:08:50 So there it is.
00:08:51 And I think that's true, Bobby.
00:08:52 We keep saying the defense turns to offense sort of things.
00:08:55 You saw them go hand in hand all night long.
00:08:57 I think actually particularly from Tatum in the first half,
00:08:59 I think one of the reasons he was so energized early
00:09:02 is he was locked in defensively.
00:09:03 And I think that transfers over.
00:09:05 I think the Celtics lose sight of that sometimes,
00:09:07 where they don't realize how linked they are,
00:09:10 and they'll do one thing but not the other.
00:09:13 And it really only works when they're doing both.
00:09:16 Yeah, and I think Joe talks a lot about the offense setting
00:09:19 the stage for their defense.
00:09:20 And the Celtics reversed that in many ways in this series
00:09:23 by turning defense into offense.
00:09:24 I think these last two games, Brown's buckets
00:09:27 were so important.
00:09:27 Tough baskets at times, the transition opportunities
00:09:32 he just rose by getting up the floor quickly,
00:09:36 by being the first to the rim, and sometimes
00:09:38 by just powering through multiple guys at the rim.
00:09:41 Tatum did that at times in this one, certainly
00:09:43 the last game as well.
00:09:45 They really showed a fourth of will in this game.
00:09:47 I think Tatum went to the mid-range a little bit
00:09:49 too at different times in this game.
00:09:51 And I think the story of the last two games
00:09:53 here, beyond some gripes you might have about different
00:09:57 moments in them, is that this is a really tough defense they're
00:10:00 going up against.
00:10:02 Maybe one of the two, three, four best ones in the league,
00:10:05 it's smart, it adjusts, it shows you guys at random spots
00:10:08 you don't expect them.
00:10:09 You saw Brown and Tatum turn the ball over at different points
00:10:12 by running into different traffic
00:10:14 that they didn't see coming.
00:10:16 But they willed baskets against that defense
00:10:19 and did it in whatever position they had to.
00:10:23 It wasn't pretty.
00:10:24 These were two grinded out games.
00:10:26 But these are games, at least one of them,
00:10:28 that they probably lose in the past just by not executing
00:10:31 consistently enough offensively or not willing enough offense.
00:10:35 You didn't see a lot of complaining in this game.
00:10:37 You didn't see a lot of begging for calls.
00:10:39 You didn't see a lot of begging for someone else
00:10:42 to bail them out.
00:10:43 They just willed their way through tough baskets
00:10:46 when they needed them.
00:10:46 Again, went on some droughts, had some bad turnovers
00:10:50 in this game, had some bad moments throughout giving up
00:10:53 runs.
00:10:54 But they responded pretty well each time.
00:10:56 And I thought it was pretty fitting
00:10:57 that Tatum and Brown connected on the decisive basket there,
00:11:00 Tatum hitting Brown, when it got a little scary there
00:11:03 in the final few minutes for a big three
00:11:05 that pretty much aced the game at that point.
00:11:07 But you're right, John.
00:11:08 They went on some droughts there.
00:11:11 This is why coming in, I said, you've
00:11:12 got to take this Cavs team seriously.
00:11:14 This is a real team.
00:11:15 Even without Mitchell tonight, they played a hell of a game.
00:11:17 I'm not going to sit here and say, oh, they're
00:11:19 doing a Mitchell.
00:11:20 What the hell are they doing?
00:11:22 They played a great game, Cleveland
00:11:24 did tonight without them.
00:11:25 And the Celtics responded great here.
00:11:27 This is a playoff win.
00:11:28 This is a hard hat when you see me up in those.
00:11:31 Wow, I like that.
00:11:32 Real quick before we transition, and I want you guys
00:11:35 to follow up here.
00:11:37 We always put up all the super chats, and we do thank you,
00:11:40 even if we don't address them all.
00:11:41 Dirk wanted to see more ball movement.
00:11:43 We put that up earlier.
00:11:44 Absolutely, you don't want to see them go iso down
00:11:46 the stretch.
00:11:47 I'll never understand it for the life of me.
00:11:49 And again, it comes down to Joe trusting his guys.
00:11:52 But that tendency is just--
00:11:54 it doesn't work.
00:11:55 It just can't agree.
00:11:58 Recommendations, we're not going to tell you now.
00:12:00 But if you want to reach out to any of us through the DM,
00:12:04 I'm sure we'd be happy to give you
00:12:05 our series of recommendations as you're coming to Boston here.
00:12:08 Jamin Hyman, I'm not sure how to pronounce that.
00:12:11 I apologize.
00:12:13 Let us know.
00:12:14 Jimmy, you're muted, my man.
00:12:16 Wow, I've been muted this whole time.
00:12:17 That's crazy.
00:12:17 Yeah, a good bit of it.
00:12:18 Yeah.
00:12:19 Yeah, you must have really enjoyed that.
00:12:21 No, I was going to say, he can DM me if he wants details.
00:12:24 But just--
00:12:25 You came out of the shoot guns blazing.
00:12:27 I thought your microphone just ran out of batteries.
00:12:30 Embrace being a tourist.
00:12:31 Your first time here, you're only here for a couple of days.
00:12:34 Do the touristy stuff.
00:12:35 Go on a duck boat.
00:12:36 Walk the Freedom Trail.
00:12:38 Go to Fenway Park if the Sox are playing.
00:12:39 And get dinner in the North End.
00:12:41 That would be my recommendation.
00:12:43 I want to bring up a topic here, because I think we overlooked
00:12:46 it a little bit last show.
00:12:48 And I think it's pretty important to bring up early
00:12:50 in this one.
00:12:51 How good is Free Ben?
00:12:54 I mean, they needed him to step up
00:12:56 when White started cooling off a little bit here.
00:12:58 And it's almost like he perfectly sensed that moment.
00:13:01 Like, I got to get aggressive here.
00:13:03 And he just sounds his shot again and again in this one.
00:13:05 And a lot of it, yeah, shots falling.
00:13:08 But he showed a great feel for the game
00:13:10 these last couple of nights here in Cleveland.
00:13:13 This is the best basketball we've seen him play in Boston.
00:13:15 For a holiday?
00:13:17 Perfect form.
00:13:18 Love it.
00:13:19 This was his best game, maybe all around game.
00:13:22 But you know what?
00:13:23 When you go into that fourth quarter,
00:13:25 they kind of took the ball away from him a little bit,
00:13:27 because they went into their iso.
00:13:29 So you neutralized the person who
00:13:32 was your most impactful player consistently all night.
00:13:35 Obviously Tatum was Tatum.
00:13:37 Brown hit his ridiculous shots, which is what Brown does.
00:13:39 Holiday impacted the game in every way imaginable.
00:13:42 This was a defensive player of the year night for him.
00:13:46 He was ridiculous defensively.
00:13:48 And the boards he was grabbing was not just
00:13:51 like empty calories, rebounds up against the trees.
00:13:54 He had a great flow on offense.
00:13:55 He had a real control and a feel for what needed to happen.
00:13:59 I really enjoyed having the ball in his hands tonight.
00:14:02 I would have kind of stuck with that a little, particularly
00:14:04 with White not able to create or find his own shot.
00:14:08 So I wish they stayed with him.
00:14:10 But through three quarters, he was awesome.
00:14:13 Not like he went away in the fourth, but less of an impact
00:14:16 there, just because of the style they played.
00:14:19 Yeah, I mean, this was definitely--
00:14:21 it felt like the prototypical Celtics relay kind of game,
00:14:25 where the guy that has been just smoking his portion
00:14:28 of the race, Derek White, has cooled off.
00:14:30 So he gives the baton to Drew.
00:14:32 And Drew is just blazing down floor
00:14:35 and just making plays happen both ends of the floor.
00:14:37 I thought, particularly defensively, John,
00:14:40 he didn't buy into that whole drop coverage.
00:14:42 He wasn't letting-- he wasn't going under the screens.
00:14:44 He was fighting through those and using that.
00:14:46 And he realized that the refs were
00:14:48 going to let them be fairly physical defensively.
00:14:51 And he used that to his advantage.
00:14:53 There were a number of times where he was just knocking
00:14:55 Garland off of the spot he wanted to get to,
00:14:57 knocking Shrews back.
00:14:58 And there was no call.
00:14:59 And allowing him to be physical was huge in this game.
00:15:02 And he was smart enough to recognize that and make
00:15:06 the most of those moments.
00:15:08 Yeah, it's two games in a row now that holidays turned back
00:15:11 the clock a little bit, if you will,
00:15:13 if people were a little bit concerned.
00:15:14 We talked about it a couple of games ago.
00:15:16 We're like, yikes, that contract.
00:15:18 But what I said at the time, I'll say again,
00:15:20 not worried about that contract.
00:15:21 Not worried about the last year of that contract
00:15:23 or the last two years even.
00:15:25 Holidays got four years after this year.
00:15:29 Their window is-- they might not even
00:15:30 be thinking about four years.
00:15:32 They're thinking about, this guy can help us win now.
00:15:33 He can help us win this year.
00:15:35 He can help us win next year.
00:15:36 And what I mean by that is win a championship.
00:15:38 And these are the types of performances
00:15:39 that just reminds you of what he's still
00:15:42 capable of at his age and wherever he's at in his career.
00:15:47 He's not even close to at the end of it.
00:15:50 And on any given night, like you said, John,
00:15:53 he can be that enforcer.
00:15:54 He can be that physical presence on both ends.
00:15:56 The points are a bonus.
00:15:57 You definitely want to see him hit double digits.
00:15:59 The last two games, obviously, he has.
00:16:00 But it's what he's given you, like you said,
00:16:02 in the trees, on boards, defending guys,
00:16:06 just being a menace that--
00:16:08 I don't know if you want to say he got away with one
00:16:10 at the end of that third quarter there,
00:16:12 but just that in-your-face--
00:16:14 That was a foul.
00:16:15 --defense of the three-point.
00:16:16 Yeah, it is.
00:16:17 But for some reason, it's considered not a foul.
00:16:20 And I don't know why.
00:16:21 I have to see that after the--
00:16:22 I've seen it go against Celtics, too.
00:16:23 --goes through.
00:16:24 But that was like, as he was shooting, it totally affected--
00:16:26 High five.
00:16:27 It totally affected the shot.
00:16:28 Yeah, I agree.
00:16:30 He was awesome.
00:16:30 He was awesome.
00:16:31 I've seen it go against Celtics, too.
00:16:33 But yeah, he was great.
00:16:33 And again, I go back to this.
00:16:36 They just rarely make mistakes, those guys.
00:16:38 I mean, Holiday and White, when they're out there on the court,
00:16:41 you just feel safe.
00:16:43 It's almost like your security blanket when they're out there.
00:16:46 And yeah, there's still some issues with execution
00:16:48 down the stretch, more on the offensive side.
00:16:50 But I got to say, when they're in the game,
00:16:52 I'm not worried that they're going to blow it for them.
00:16:55 Somehow I'm not worried that they're going to lose it
00:16:58 by doing the wrong thing or trying to do too much.
00:17:01 It just feels like they understand the moment.
00:17:03 And Holiday, again, Holiday's done it.
00:17:06 Been there, done there.
00:17:07 Been there, done that.
00:17:08 And you can tell.
00:17:10 You can just see it in his eyes.
00:17:11 He's comfortable with it.
00:17:14 Yeah, it's going to be a formula for when Brown, Caden,
00:17:17 can't prepare business, getting that one role player
00:17:20 performance.
00:17:20 Because across the board, you really
00:17:22 didn't get the depth performances
00:17:25 that you would have on your best night here.
00:17:29 This comment is on the other side of--
00:17:33 it's left of Zanis.
00:17:35 I don't even go here with this stuff.
00:17:38 He was like, $10?
00:17:40 No, I'm going to give $12.
00:17:42 Of $12?
00:17:42 That extra $2, you're going to leave that thing up there
00:17:44 for a minute or two.
00:17:45 We're going to talk about it.
00:17:46 He hates Boston that much.
00:17:48 He's like, I'm going to give $12.
00:17:49 This is why we keep talking about things that
00:17:51 could cost them down the line.
00:17:53 Right.
00:17:55 That's kind of been the story all year.
00:17:56 And again, people are like, why are you hating?
00:17:59 It's a win during the year.
00:18:01 And it's really like, yeah, you're looking--
00:18:05 you've been looking two rounds ahead the whole time
00:18:09 through these playoffs.
00:18:11 Sure, this worked here.
00:18:12 But it's an undermanned team without their two best players.
00:18:15 And it's fine.
00:18:16 It's a win on the road.
00:18:17 But you want to see it cleaner.
00:18:19 You want to just see those--
00:18:22 the last two games to the Celtics' credit,
00:18:24 again, from an effort standpoint, for Pockets,
00:18:27 they really brought it.
00:18:28 I mean, I think their effort was there both games.
00:18:31 But focus has kind of waxed and waned at times,
00:18:36 which is just weird.
00:18:38 And coming out flat in that third quarter,
00:18:40 or just various times where you're like, oh,
00:18:44 so they just completely fell asleep on that,
00:18:46 or they went under on that, or nobody got out
00:18:48 on the shooter there, some sloppy stuff.
00:18:52 It's strange to have it.
00:18:53 But it's the playoffs.
00:18:54 It's going to muck it up.
00:18:54 I think it's a fair point, Bobby,
00:18:56 that you put it in there that somebody was--
00:19:00 we got an auction going on here, by the way--
00:19:02 that Cleveland does make it harder on you.
00:19:06 I know you caught up with Wade at shootaround today.
00:19:09 And he's just talking about the layers
00:19:10 that they need to be throwing at Tatum
00:19:12 to make sure there's somebody else.
00:19:13 And by the way, $12.
00:19:17 Do we hear $12?
00:19:17 Do we hear $12.01 going once?
00:19:20 Going twice now, $12.01 sold.
00:19:22 Mike Palumbo, without using Google,
00:19:24 which country is Jokic from?
00:19:26 Come on.
00:19:26 Love that.
00:19:27 And now, in order to answer that question, you have to go--
00:19:30 yeah, exactly.
00:19:31 We won't put it up unless you don't.
00:19:34 He's calling him a casual.
00:19:35 Mike Palumbo is calling him a casual.
00:19:38 Wow.
00:19:39 That's good stuff.
00:19:41 I love it.
00:19:43 But yeah, I think--
00:19:44 where's my super chat?
00:19:46 Tatum only does 50s.
00:19:48 You got one up here?
00:19:49 No, he just wants to get a free post, I think.
00:19:56 I don't know.
00:19:57 Tatum--
00:19:58 I am going to go check out what Drew's saying in the locker
00:20:01 room.
00:20:02 Oh, good.
00:20:02 Send on it back.
00:20:03 I need some more graphics.
00:20:04 Excellent.
00:20:04 Thank you.
00:20:05 Go get him, Bobby.
00:20:07 That was Bobby Manning, ladies and gentlemen.
00:20:09 Bobby, making the earliest appearance I've ever seen.
00:20:12 I pushed him.
00:20:12 I pushed him a little bit today.
00:20:13 I love it.
00:20:14 I said we want to hear from you.
00:20:15 We want to get you on there.
00:20:16 The people clamor for it.
00:20:18 We can't go 50 minutes without Bobby Manning, can we?
00:20:21 No, people hate us by then, as they should.
00:20:25 I hate myself by then.
00:20:28 Yeah, Jimmy's-- count-- you talk about--
00:20:32 count Jimmy's word count.
00:20:34 First 40 and last 30.
00:20:36 Last 30.
00:20:38 And then count Sherrod's yawn count in the last 20,
00:20:41 25 minutes.
00:20:42 Well, nobody wants to hear me say the same shit all over
00:20:45 again once Bobby--
00:20:46 Which is why I'm yawning.
00:20:47 That is why I'm yawning.
00:20:48 Because I don't want to say, fax my dog.
00:20:52 I'm trying to fight through it.
00:20:53 I do.
00:20:53 I'm trying to fight through it.
00:20:54 I don't want to say fax my dog.
00:20:56 Yeah, so we need to hear from those guys a little bit.
00:20:58 We also need to hear me talk about our lovely sponsors.
00:21:02 And first off, we're going to, of course,
00:21:04 start with prize picks, America's number one fantasy
00:21:06 sports app, more than 3 million members.
00:21:09 Easiest, most exciting way to get in the game.
00:21:13 Can I do this?
00:21:14 Is this right?
00:21:15 There you go.
00:21:15 Yeah, there it is.
00:21:16 Oh, take a look at the players.
00:21:18 Nice.
00:21:18 Oh, so pretty.
00:21:20 Win up to 100 times your money.
00:21:22 With prize picks, little as four correct picks,
00:21:24 you pick more or less on two or more players.
00:21:26 Stats, watch the winnings roll in.
00:21:29 Who's this guy?
00:21:29 Who's this guy in the middle going through?
00:21:31 What athlete is that?
00:21:32 Yeah, play with celebrities, injury insurance.
00:21:35 It has it all.
00:21:36 It's a super easy to download app.
00:21:39 I think Bobby's been hammering more on Tatum.
00:21:42 Last couple of months, he's come through for him,
00:21:44 which is great.
00:21:46 So again, all you have to do, download that app.
00:21:48 Use the code CLNS, first deposit match up to 100.
00:21:51 Once again, download the app.
00:21:53 Use that code right there.
00:21:56 You see it on the screen.
00:21:57 CLNS for first deposit match up to 100.
00:22:03 Why not?
00:22:04 Get in on the action.
00:22:05 It is prize picks.
00:22:08 It is pick more, pick less.
00:22:10 It's that easy.
00:22:10 It's that easy, Jimmy.
00:22:11 That's all you have to do.
00:22:12 We also want to tell you quickly about game time.
00:22:15 Game five tickets, sure.
00:22:17 Yeah, everyone wants to see closeouts.
00:22:19 And after that, it's going up and up and up.
00:22:21 And it's going to be hard to get into these games.
00:22:23 And that's why you need game time, an authorized ticket
00:22:26 in place of the NBA makes getting playoff tickets even
00:22:29 faster and easier.
00:22:30 Prices of the game time app actually
00:22:32 go down as it gets closer to tip up.
00:22:34 And now Jimmy's going to tell you a story about how
00:22:37 he goes to bars, and he waits out, and then eventually,
00:22:40 you just get in there.
00:22:41 I'm done.
00:22:42 You're halfway in.
00:22:43 I'm not going to games anymore.
00:22:44 I'm the jinx that ruins games.
00:22:46 We're saving Jimmy's words for later in the show
00:22:49 because we're going to need them because we used up some Bobby
00:22:52 early.
00:22:53 Killer last minute deals all in prices panoramic view
00:22:56 of your seat.
00:22:57 So I'm going to tell you how he gets a press pass and doesn't
00:23:01 have to.
00:23:02 He's lucky.
00:23:03 You notice how I skipped that one, Jimmy.
00:23:05 Yeah, I wasn't going to let you improvise.
00:23:08 So I improvised.
00:23:10 I was going to talk about going to the sphere.
00:23:13 Oh, you should.
00:23:14 Actually, you can't tell him everything, I bet.
00:23:15 But you can tell him about how you want to flash deals,
00:23:19 all sorts of different things.
00:23:21 And the best part, the best part, or one of the best parts,
00:23:24 but a great part, lowest price guaranteed or game time
00:23:26 will credit you 110 of the difference.
00:23:28 So take the guesswork out of buying NBA tickets
00:23:31 with game time.
00:23:31 Download that game time app.
00:23:33 Create an account.
00:23:33 Use the code CLNS.
00:23:35 $20 off your first purchase.
00:23:37 Once again, terms do apply.
00:23:39 Create that account.
00:23:40 Use the code CLNS.
00:23:42 That is-- let me spell it out for you.
00:23:44 CLNS for $20 off.
00:23:47 Download game time today.
00:23:48 Last minute tickets, lowest price guaranteed.
00:23:52 Anyway, back to the game.
00:23:53 Jimmy, what do you have left?
00:23:55 One more thing.
00:23:55 I got one more thing to add, John.
00:23:57 Oh, here it is.
00:23:57 Yeah.
00:23:58 Don't forget.
00:23:59 Jimmy, you can't triple check these.
00:24:01 Here we go.
00:24:02 What?
00:24:03 What can I do?
00:24:04 We can't do two ads and a merch promo.
00:24:06 It's too much at once.
00:24:07 Save it.
00:24:08 All right, fine.
00:24:08 Then we'll save it.
00:24:09 Little teaser.
00:24:10 But I will say this.
00:24:11 If you are interested, 20% off code 9more.
00:24:14 That's the number 9more.
00:24:16 Check out the merch store.
00:24:17 I'll do a full plug later.
00:24:21 It's so funny how just you and Nick determine the codes.
00:24:25 No one tells me.
00:24:26 I have no idea that this is happening.
00:24:28 Yeah, it's so that it goes smoothly.
00:24:31 It's 9more?
00:24:31 Wow.
00:24:32 So you're saying John is a pothole?
00:24:34 John is a pothole in the process?
00:24:36 Dang it.
00:24:37 I didn't say it.
00:24:38 You kind of did.
00:24:39 You kind of did.
00:24:40 We got $39.99.
00:24:44 I'm not sure what that is, but I appreciate it.
00:24:46 I'm assuming it's Saudi Arabia.
00:24:50 Tatum's post.
00:24:52 It was very beginning of the show.
00:24:55 He said a traffic cone is greater than Luke Cornett.
00:24:59 And then he apologized to Bobby.
00:25:01 Luckily, Bobby wasn't on to see this,
00:25:02 because he would be upset.
00:25:04 Yeah.
00:25:06 Yeah.
00:25:09 Anyways, what else?
00:25:10 Let's talk Tatum.
00:25:11 Let's talk Tatum for a minute.
00:25:13 Only cool kids talk about merch.
00:25:15 Yeah, exactly.
00:25:17 Yeah.
00:25:18 You wouldn't look cool in it.
00:25:20 It's just for the up and comers.
00:25:23 By the way, very exciting merch announcement later.
00:25:26 Very exciting merch announcement.
00:25:27 I want to talk Tatum.
00:25:28 I can't wait.
00:25:30 I bet you can't.
00:25:31 Well, everyone has to stay tuned.
00:25:33 Yeah.
00:25:35 Let's talk Tatum, Jimmy.
00:25:36 Let's go.
00:25:37 Can we go back to the game, please?
00:25:39 Jimmy's the boss.
00:25:39 Let's talk Tatum.
00:25:40 Let's go.
00:25:41 Go ahead, coach.
00:25:41 You talk Tatum.
00:25:42 Sean, are you all their bosses?
00:25:44 Yeah, you could say that.
00:25:46 You could say that.
00:25:48 Let's talk Tatum.
00:25:49 I love the way Tatum started this game.
00:25:51 I really do.
00:25:52 Thought he was aggressive.
00:25:53 I thought he was getting to the hoop.
00:25:55 He had a nice block, if I recall.
00:25:58 Great block.
00:25:59 And I didn't think that he was forcing shots.
00:26:03 I know that he-- you can look at the stat.
00:26:05 I know you want--
00:26:06 I haven't even looked at it, to be completely honest,
00:26:08 to see what he ended up with.
00:26:09 I know he ended up with 33 points.
00:26:11 But as far as efficiency and all that goes,
00:26:12 if you watch the game, I think for most of the night--
00:26:15 9 and 15.
00:26:16 Sorry, that was-- OK, 11 and 25.
00:26:18 Brown was 9 and 15.
00:26:19 Brown's been the efficient one.
00:26:20 We'll get into him later, too.
00:26:21 But Tatum gets to the line tonight again,
00:26:25 much like he did in game three.
00:26:29 And I just like what I'm seeing.
00:26:30 Still a little off on the three-point shot,
00:26:32 but that's OK.
00:26:33 I like the aggressiveness, the assertiveness.
00:26:36 I didn't like the complaining again.
00:26:38 I think it was in the second quarter he got teed up.
00:26:40 But whatever, it happens.
00:26:42 I think I'm still going to start calling it the Jason Tatum
00:26:43 experience.
00:26:44 We talk about it with Marcus Smart back in the day.
00:26:47 I think with Tatum, that might just
00:26:49 be a little bit part of his game.
00:26:50 And sometimes you're going to be a little frustrated
00:26:52 with the shot selection.
00:26:53 But then he goes ahead and he hits
00:26:55 one of those crazy step backs with somebody right in his face.
00:26:58 And you're like, OK, well, expect
00:27:00 to see a couple more of those go up again later.
00:27:03 Just like what I saw from Tatum the last couple of games.
00:27:05 And as Bobby mentioned, this is your recipe.
00:27:07 It's not-- again, it's not rocket science.
00:27:10 This is your recipe for success.
00:27:12 Your two best players are far and away your two best players
00:27:15 in the game.
00:27:15 That's Tatum and Brown.
00:27:16 I thought Brown, once again, was right back and forth
00:27:20 with Tatum.
00:27:20 There were stretches in this one where Brown
00:27:23 would hit the tough shot, and Brown was the consistent one,
00:27:25 and Brown was bringing the energy and getting to the line
00:27:27 and all those things.
00:27:29 So two games in a row now, these two guys
00:27:32 have really stepped up to the occasion.
00:27:35 And the Celtics, again, are one game away
00:27:37 from moving to the East Carbon finals.
00:27:38 The way things are shaking out, they just
00:27:40 got to continue playing like this, and they should--
00:27:43 I'm not going to jinx anything, but they
00:27:45 should continue their success.
00:27:47 It's interesting-- go ahead, Sharat.
00:27:49 No, I was just going to say, the big thing with Tatum
00:27:52 is he did exactly what a top five, top 10 player should do.
00:27:55 You should be the one--
00:27:56 Ooh, we got top five Tatum.
00:27:59 We got impact Tatum.
00:28:01 I still think there are aspects of his game
00:28:04 where he's not quite back to being top five Tatum,
00:28:06 but impact Tatum, we saw tonight.
00:28:08 And this is what you're supposed to do when you--
00:28:11 Tatum should be the first--
00:28:14 not like this.
00:28:14 Tatum should be the best player on the floor.
00:28:16 And if you're not, Jalen Brown should.
00:28:18 And that's exactly what happened.
00:28:19 We've had too many games where Tatum has taken a back seat
00:28:23 or been in a damn trunk when others are riding shotgun,
00:28:26 other guys are in the backseat who
00:28:27 are playing better than him.
00:28:29 And this was not one of those games.
00:28:30 His impact at both ends of the floor from the jump
00:28:33 was noticeable.
00:28:34 16 of his points came in the first--
00:28:36 I think the first quarter.
00:28:38 And that's the kind of impact that you need.
00:28:40 And Jalen Brown, I think Jalen has been the best player
00:28:43 in the playoffs for the Celtics, to be honest.
00:28:46 And he did it again tonight.
00:28:47 He saved him again tonight.
00:28:49 He did.
00:28:49 He did.
00:28:50 And we'll talk about the big shot
00:28:52 that he hit where Tatum dribbled drive
00:28:54 to kick the team in the corner.
00:28:55 But before that was the big shot, I thought.
00:28:58 The one where he just rose up, did his double clutch thing,
00:29:01 knocked it down.
00:29:02 It just basically took all the air out of Cleveland's hopes
00:29:05 of finding a way to come back and win that game.
00:29:08 And he's done that more in the postseason
00:29:11 this year than Jason has.
00:29:14 I mean, he's been that guy.
00:29:15 He's been the alpha for this team.
00:29:18 And this-- go ahead.
00:29:19 Yeah, go ahead.
00:29:20 Finish up.
00:29:20 Sorry.
00:29:22 No, and I think it'll be interesting to see
00:29:24 how this continues to play out, whether he'll
00:29:26 continue to be that alpha.
00:29:28 And if that's the case, if they win a championship
00:29:30 and we're looking at Jalen Brown as finals MVP,
00:29:33 what does that mean for the whole Tatum Brown dynamic?
00:29:37 And again, that's a conversation for another day.
00:29:39 But it's something that I think if we are at a point
00:29:42 where it becomes a legitimate topic of conversation,
00:29:44 you're going to look back at these playoff series
00:29:46 as being the genesis of that conversation coming to fruition.
00:29:50 So we've gone back and forth on it a ton.
00:29:54 And so here's where I've landed on it.
00:29:55 I don't think it's like crazy new ground here,
00:29:58 but in the Tatum Brown--
00:30:00 because you already got it in here,
00:30:02 Jalen's that guy, Jalen's that alpha--
00:30:06 Tatum is asked and expected to do more,
00:30:09 because the offense runs through him a little bit more.
00:30:13 He's definitely a better playmaker and set things up.
00:30:15 I actually thought his passing was outstanding tonight.
00:30:19 Made a lot of good reads and a lot of good decisions.
00:30:22 And it's interesting, and it's actually not that surprising
00:30:25 when you think about their games going the way that they did.
00:30:27 He did have it going early.
00:30:28 And when the shots are falling a little bit, as Bobby said,
00:30:31 he gets to some spots.
00:30:32 But on the whole, I think Tatum's game is more impactful.
00:30:37 I also think he is a borderline elite defender when he's
00:30:42 absolutely locked in there.
00:30:43 And he can guard a bunch of different positions.
00:30:45 We've seen him do it.
00:30:47 But Brown's just a better bucket getter.
00:30:49 And Brown hits shots that are 20 percenters 60% of the time.
00:30:55 There's not anybody like that.
00:30:56 So what's happened-- and it happened again
00:31:00 in the second half tonight.
00:31:01 Brown was limited in his time.
00:31:02 He only played 14 minutes because he got that fourth foul.
00:31:05 And he had to sit for a little bit there.
00:31:06 Tatum goes the full friggin' 24 in the second half, I think.
00:31:11 I don't think he came out.
00:31:12 That's awesome.
00:31:13 24.
00:31:14 He played the full 24.
00:31:15 But he's only 3 of 11, two assists, two turnovers.
00:31:19 And where it goes with Tatum is when they have a lead
00:31:22 and they go into shutdown, slowdown mode
00:31:25 is where you see the worst versions of Tatum.
00:31:27 Because when he is isoing and trying to force buckets,
00:31:30 he's just not as good at it as Brown is.
00:31:32 Brown's just better at it.
00:31:34 So Brown delivers in those moments.
00:31:37 Tatum was a little frustrating to watch in that second half.
00:31:40 Because offensively, he was not taking great shots
00:31:42 or making great decisions.
00:31:43 He was forcing it.
00:31:44 And he's just not as good at forcing it.
00:31:46 Between the two, if I want someone to force a shot,
00:31:49 it's Brown 10 out of 10 times.
00:31:51 Because he fricking hits them.
00:31:52 It's insane.
00:31:54 And that's what he did tonight, 5 of 7 in those 14 minutes.
00:31:57 And he was just, again, extremely efficient
00:32:00 from difficult spots on the court.
00:32:04 A lot of shots you don't want anyone to take,
00:32:06 and he's just hitting them.
00:32:07 So again, Brown was terrific.
00:32:09 He also hit 5 of 5 free throws in the second half
00:32:11 after bricking his first two.
00:32:13 So that had to make you feel a little bit better as well.
00:32:15 He did it again.
00:32:16 He kind of bailed him out--
00:32:18 not bailed him out, but when Tatum cooled off
00:32:22 and some of his shots became difficult or harder to hit,
00:32:24 because Cleveland's forcing him into spots
00:32:26 that he doesn't necessarily want to be sometimes,
00:32:28 or throwing a lot of defenders at him.
00:32:30 Brown just kept coming.
00:32:31 And he did it two games in a row.
00:32:34 So he's been awesome in the shot making category.
00:32:39 He's been unreal.
00:32:40 And he was awesome again tonight.
00:32:42 So hats off, Jalen.
00:32:43 Jalen gets-- there it is.
00:32:45 That's us talking Jalen.
00:32:46 Wow.
00:32:47 That was big of you.
00:32:48 The brownie.
00:32:49 For later on when these assholes start-- no,
00:32:51 he can't get the brownie.
00:32:52 It doesn't work that way, unfortunately.
00:32:54 Can't get the brownie.
00:32:55 You know what does, Pritchard?
00:32:56 Pritchard gets my brownie tonight.
00:32:58 Or maybe holiday, but I think Pritchard's
00:33:01 going to get the brownie from me just
00:33:03 so that we have an excuse to talk about it.
00:33:05 We don't need to do it now, but at some point we will.
00:33:06 But to your point, John, and again, similar to Tatum,
00:33:09 I think these guys had very similar games to game three.
00:33:15 Yeah, that could be true.
00:33:17 They throw a lot of bodies at him, for sure.
00:33:19 Brown's more willing to, like you said, John,
00:33:23 draw the contact, take the mid-range,
00:33:26 get fouled, force something wild,
00:33:28 and is more likely to just go in on a whim.
00:33:30 I totally get that.
00:33:31 The fourth quarter is frustrating.
00:33:32 And I think they've got to stop playing the clock, I think.
00:33:37 I think that's part of it.
00:33:38 You get down the stretch.
00:33:39 That's why the game slows down a little bit.
00:33:42 They start looking up, tick, tick, tick.
00:33:45 How many possessions are left?
00:33:48 And then all of a sudden, it's like, you just stopped playing
00:33:51 the style of basketball that got you that lead
00:33:53 to begin with, to put you in the position that you're in.
00:33:55 You know what I mean?
00:33:57 And so the Cavs--
00:33:58 I got to give the Cavs a little bit of credit
00:34:00 for just continuing to fight back when
00:34:02 it felt like that was it.
00:34:04 It felt like, all right, the Celtics are up 12 or whatever.
00:34:06 That's going to do it.
00:34:07 And then all of a sudden, six or seven straight from the Cavs,
00:34:10 and it's a one or two possession game.
00:34:13 A couple of chances there for the Cavs to even take the lead.
00:34:16 I'll throw this Kess comment up as you say that.
00:34:19 Do you agree with this?
00:34:21 So here it is.
00:34:22 We're being nice right now, and they won the game,
00:34:24 and it was gutty.
00:34:25 You know, gutsy win.
00:34:26 And Bobby said, you know, Jimmy's wearing his hard hat,
00:34:29 and he's coming out here and frigging banging on it.
00:34:32 And it was a good win.
00:34:33 That's what I do, baby.
00:34:34 Is this a fair comment?
00:34:36 Too close?
00:34:37 Are they learning the right lessons?
00:34:38 Again, stuff you get away with against a depleted
00:34:42 Miami and a Cleveland squad, can you get away with it
00:34:44 other places?
00:34:47 You can get away with it here in the Eastern Conference
00:34:49 because every team is depleted and less talented than you.
00:34:53 But I've said this all year.
00:34:56 You can't just form these bad habits
00:35:00 and expect to just flip a switch and break them.
00:35:02 And they haven't broken them.
00:35:04 They're getting away with it, John.
00:35:06 And Bobby joins us again.
00:35:07 They're getting away with it because the Cavs simply
00:35:10 don't have the talent, certainly tonight
00:35:11 without Donovan Mitchell.
00:35:12 Although, again, credit where it's due.
00:35:13 They fought hard, and they did have an opportunity
00:35:15 in this one.
00:35:16 But that's never going to work in a seven game series.
00:35:18 You might catch lightning in a bottle for a game.
00:35:20 It's not the NFL.
00:35:21 It's not just one and done.
00:35:22 It's seven game series.
00:35:23 And that's why more often than not, the more talented team
00:35:26 does advance in these playoffs.
00:35:27 Now, that is the Celtics.
00:35:29 Throughout the Eastern Conference,
00:35:30 I think you're going to be able to make that case.
00:35:32 It looks like the Knicks, unfortunately, are banged up.
00:35:34 The Pacers are hot and cold.
00:35:36 Halliburton's a little banged up.
00:35:38 So the Celtics might be able to get away
00:35:39 with this type of behavior, if you will,
00:35:42 until they get to the NBA Finals.
00:35:44 But an NBA Finals birth is not good enough.
00:35:48 Fans, rightfully so, and the players and the organization
00:35:51 want a championship.
00:35:52 I'll tell you right now, if you show up
00:35:54 and you're meeting the Nuggets or you're
00:35:56 meeting the Timberwolves, at least those two teams,
00:36:00 I mean, you can make the case they
00:36:02 might be able to get away with it against a team like Dallas
00:36:04 or whatnot.
00:36:04 But those two teams are going to make
00:36:06 you pay for your mistakes.
00:36:08 Yeah, and Cass, I'll bump this one again.
00:36:11 Yeah, we are being a little nice.
00:36:13 Because again, you don't want to be those assholes coming out
00:36:16 here after a playoff win where everything is harder
00:36:19 and just winning is really what's most important.
00:36:22 And go all negative here.
00:36:24 I didn't mean to do that.
00:36:26 No, no, no, it's fine.
00:36:27 I would absolutely say, yeah, there's
00:36:29 a part of me that's--
00:36:31 it's not rage, but there's definitely
00:36:34 concern with some stuff.
00:36:36 Because you talk about--
00:36:37 Jimmy just mentioned forming bad habits.
00:36:41 These are ingrained bad habits.
00:36:42 You have to work hard to get rid of, right?
00:36:47 That's my point.
00:36:47 You've formed them in the regular season.
00:36:49 They've formed them over the course of forever.
00:36:52 But anyway, Bobby, what have you learned since last we saw you?
00:36:56 Yeah, we talked to Drew in there.
00:36:58 I thought the most interesting thing by far
00:37:00 is that he revealed that the Celtics like
00:37:03 the Cavs being in the paint.
00:37:05 That's where they want them to live.
00:37:07 They're OK living with some of those drop offs and dunks.
00:37:09 And the contested twos are what they want.
00:37:12 But right now, they look at it as the Cavs are out
00:37:16 shooting them from three.
00:37:17 They're hitting contested threes in a lot of these circumstances.
00:37:21 So if they hit some contested twos,
00:37:23 they hit some drop offs in that back line there.
00:37:26 They want to live with that a little bit
00:37:28 rather than giving up some of those threes that
00:37:31 shifted momentum in many different circumstances
00:37:33 in this game.
00:37:34 And look, did they out shoot the Celtics from three again?
00:37:37 Yeah, 48 to 32.
00:37:39 That's unbelievable.
00:37:40 The number was up the whole time.
00:37:42 It was that way at half.
00:37:44 They had the edge, and they stayed there.
00:37:46 They really committed to it.
00:37:47 And they've done that all year against them.
00:37:48 Yeah, it's a big way they've kept these games close.
00:37:51 And that's tough to live with.
00:37:53 The Celtics obviously do that to most teams on any given night.
00:37:56 And that's why they end up building ginormous leads
00:37:58 over many other teams, because they're
00:38:00 doing all the other stuff too.
00:38:02 When you lose that advantage here,
00:38:03 and the Celtics have in this series,
00:38:06 during the regular season series,
00:38:07 they did too against the Cavs.
00:38:10 You've got to find other ways to win.
00:38:12 And that's what's kept these games close.
00:38:15 The Celtics are trying to work on that a little bit going
00:38:18 into game five, because that could have lost you this game.
00:38:22 That could have lost last game.
00:38:23 Fortunately, they only shot 31% for the Celtics' sake there.
00:38:26 So the margin ended up being a little closer.
00:38:28 But they still beat you 15 to 12 just because of the three point
00:38:32 margin there.
00:38:33 So Drew's saying, they'll live with the twos.
00:38:35 They'll live with the paint touches.
00:38:37 And it's interesting, because we're
00:38:38 looking at it and saying, man, they're
00:38:39 getting killed in the paint.
00:38:40 But it looks like that's something
00:38:41 that they're willing to live with right now.
00:38:43 And you see it, right?
00:38:44 They're putting two on the ball a lot of the time.
00:38:46 That drop off pass is there.
00:38:49 They are kind of opening the lane a little bit
00:38:51 for the Cavs.
00:38:52 Not that they want them.
00:38:53 They go in there and dunk every time.
00:38:55 Obviously, they want to see the floaters and mid-rangers,
00:38:57 which I'm sure the Cavs aren't shooting great on right now.
00:39:00 But it's an interesting strategy by the Celtics
00:39:03 right now to kind of hedge on letting the Cavs inside
00:39:06 a little bit more.
00:39:07 We talked about Holiday earlier, who was great.
00:39:15 Derek White, as we know, has not been.
00:39:20 Curse of the Garden Report, we'll call it.
00:39:23 No, you know what?
00:39:24 Yeah, Curse of Joe Sway.
00:39:26 And people jumped all over me the other day
00:39:31 when I was talking about Tatum needing to play better,
00:39:33 because you can't count on role players.
00:39:34 And by role players, just meant supporting cast.
00:39:37 Not that he's not out there playing the role of--
00:39:41 friggin' he's not PJ Tucker.
00:39:44 He's a really good player, almost fringy all-star level
00:39:47 sort of player, who's going to get all defensive consideration
00:39:51 and has carried the team offensively multiple times
00:39:54 during the year.
00:39:55 But you can't expect it out of White.
00:39:57 And he does go hot and cold at times.
00:39:59 And that's just not him.
00:40:01 He's not that guy who you can count on for 30 a night.
00:40:03 So when you are, that's a bailout.
00:40:07 When he's-- you don't want to see the extremes,
00:40:11 because those are harder to come back from.
00:40:13 But you have to factor in tonight,
00:40:16 between Horford and White, two guys
00:40:18 that you're counting on to do a lot, especially
00:40:20 with Porzingis gone, being non-factors offensively
00:40:25 for much of the night, if not all of the night,
00:40:28 kind of put a strain on everybody else
00:40:30 to get things going here.
00:40:32 I mean, they tried.
00:40:33 They tried to get some of these guys involved,
00:40:35 and it just wasn't working.
00:40:36 I mean, Al went--
00:40:37 I mean, they gave-- Al got seven shots up.
00:40:39 He got as many shots up as Jalen in the second half.
00:40:41 Four threes, missed them all.
00:40:43 It was just hard.
00:40:45 And the same thing, White was trying,
00:40:47 just couldn't get it going.
00:40:50 And they were good looks.
00:40:51 I mean, there was one where Tatum drove into the paint,
00:40:53 drew two or three defenders, kicked it to Al in a corner.
00:40:56 Al had time to set up, get his feet, spin the ball,
00:41:00 grab a snack, raised up, and it was a brick.
00:41:03 And it was that kind of game for him.
00:41:05 So it's definitely noteworthy.
00:41:09 The level of concern just depends
00:41:11 on where you are with Al and what he's doing
00:41:14 outside of scoring a ball.
00:41:16 But--
00:41:17 It's not even a concern.
00:41:18 I just think you have to factor that into why tonight was
00:41:21 difficult. It's easy to put it on the slowdown and stuff that
00:41:24 happened and always look at the big dogs here and not
00:41:26 like their fourth quarter.
00:41:27 I mean, that really hurt them.
00:41:30 Those guys couldn't get it going.
00:41:31 You missed Jalen for a chunk there
00:41:33 when he caught that fourth foul.
00:41:35 You look at that entire second half, they were brutal.
00:41:39 They shot 36% from the field, 31 from three in the second half.
00:41:43 I mean, they were--
00:41:45 it just wasn't good.
00:41:46 I mean, 47 points.
00:41:48 It was just-- they sputtered the whole time there.
00:41:51 So offensively, it just didn't look--
00:41:53 it didn't look good for a lot of the night.
00:41:56 Yeah.
00:41:57 And it's going to be tough on certain nights
00:41:58 in this postseason against a team like this, especially.
00:42:01 And we go back to winning different ways here, right?
00:42:04 Because when Tatum was struggling
00:42:06 in those early games, we said, oh, good thing
00:42:09 the roll guys are picking them up.
00:42:11 Because if they weren't, they'd be losing these games.
00:42:13 Now the roll guys struggle in a game like this.
00:42:16 And Tatum, Brown have to lead the way.
00:42:19 And they did here at the--
00:42:20 And that's why we were killing them earlier,
00:42:22 is those guys have to be the guys most
00:42:24 nice, right? - Right.
00:42:25 Not killing them, but just putting a lot on them.
00:42:27 That's what they-- that's what you make the big bucks for.
00:42:30 And now after watching Tatum tonight and Saturday night,
00:42:37 again, it's the same argument we always have with people, John.
00:42:39 It's like, this is more in line with the Tatum
00:42:42 that people should be wanting to see.
00:42:44 From an approach, for sure.
00:42:45 Yeah, from the approach, yeah.
00:42:47 Not the one that we've saw to start this playoff series,
00:42:51 that everyone was insisting on telling us,
00:42:53 well, look at everything else he's doing.
00:42:55 No.
00:42:56 We have eyes.
00:42:57 We know what good Tatum looks like, or top five Tatum
00:42:59 looks like, to an extent.
00:43:01 And this is much more in line with that player
00:43:03 than what we had seen previously.
00:43:05 Bobby, is there something wrong with Derek White?
00:43:07 Like, physically?
00:43:08 Yeah, what was the story when he left--
00:43:10 when he left the court for a little bit, came back,
00:43:12 it was confusing.
00:43:13 Because it looked like he was being--
00:43:15 he went out with trainers into the tunnel.
00:43:18 And I was like, uh-oh.
00:43:19 And at that point, Brown had just
00:43:21 come out with his fourth foul.
00:43:22 And Al was bordering on unplayable.
00:43:24 And now White was headed for the tunnel.
00:43:26 And Cleveland was starting to make a run here.
00:43:28 It was about seven points.
00:43:29 I was like, oh, god, this is bad.
00:43:32 And then he came right back, sat on the bench.
00:43:34 And nothing happened.
00:43:35 But did you see him get hurt?
00:43:37 What happened?
00:43:38 There was a play midway through the fourth
00:43:40 where he chased the ball out of bounds
00:43:42 and went pretty hard into the stands.
00:43:45 I saw him stumbling around a little bit after that.
00:43:49 But other than that, I didn't see too much.
00:43:50 And then he came out and hit the two free throws after that.
00:43:54 But nothing that I saw there.
00:43:58 I mean, he's prone to get a banged up
00:44:01 through the course of a game just based
00:44:02 on his playing style there.
00:44:06 So maybe something came up.
00:44:07 But he's usually just going to roll right through it.
00:44:09 I don't think that had anything to do with his performance
00:44:11 tonight.
00:44:11 I think he just missed some shots.
00:44:13 And again, the ball flowed toward holiday tonight.
00:44:17 And it was his night.
00:44:18 He talked about that a little bit too.
00:44:21 He was bad in those first two games, he said.
00:44:23 White picked him up.
00:44:24 In a game like this, White didn't have it
00:44:27 or didn't get those opportunities.
00:44:29 Holiday, who I think more and more looks
00:44:32 like a great kind of mismatch hunter--
00:44:34 I remember the game in Denver where
00:44:36 he was going at Jokic late in that game.
00:44:38 Tonight, he got Garland a lot of the time
00:44:39 and was able to make him pay or manipulate some help
00:44:43 and get it to a guy like Cornett in the paint for a nice trip
00:44:46 to the free throw line.
00:44:47 Shit, he went at Mobley in game three.
00:44:49 You know, like, I mean, he's--
00:44:50 I don't think-- you know, he's like, I'm just going to put--
00:44:53 I'm going to put my shoulder in his sternum,
00:44:56 knock him back three feet, and shoot a lefty hook
00:44:59 over this seven-footer here.
00:45:00 And he's pretty fearless when it comes to that.
00:45:02 He's so strong physical, but also quick enough
00:45:04 to be able to contort, twist, turn just
00:45:07 enough to get that shot off.
00:45:09 He can almost do that against most people.
00:45:11 But when he's got somebody who's lighter and smaller,
00:45:13 he can absolutely muscle them down and do that.
00:45:18 It's a real weapon.
00:45:19 And he does see it, and he just goes right to it.
00:45:21 He's like, all right, I'm backing him down.
00:45:24 I'm not-- I'm not concerned about--
00:45:26 he's shooting 50%.
00:45:27 I'm not concerned.
00:45:28 I'm simply just saying it's a variance.
00:45:30 It's going to come down to Earth.
00:45:32 Yeah.
00:45:33 It's going to come down to Earth when
00:45:34 you're shooting at that level.
00:45:35 It's not a concern thing.
00:45:37 He might go out for 35 this game.
00:45:38 But yeah, that variance, he's been really hot and cold here
00:45:42 with these games.
00:45:44 We're just mainly pointing out that's
00:45:45 why it's so important for Tatum and Brown
00:45:47 to be on point every night or as close to it as possible.
00:45:50 I mean, you can't rely on him to drive you a chance.
00:45:52 Like I said, it'd be cool if he won finals MVP just
00:45:55 because of the contributions he's made
00:45:57 and the massive role he's played if he's
00:45:59 able to contribute at that level.
00:46:01 But realistically, you're not going
00:46:02 to have a role that go off through the length
00:46:05 of the playoffs and carry you to a championship
00:46:07 while Tatum's shooting 40%, which
00:46:09 is why we made the deal we did about Tatum playing
00:46:12 at that level.
00:46:12 So that's really the story of the last two
00:46:14 games in many ways here is Tatum finding himself,
00:46:17 finding a level of aggression, playing
00:46:18 through a little bit of a shooting struggle,
00:46:21 some increased turnovers over the last couple of games
00:46:23 I'm OK with because he played with that level of aggression.
00:46:26 And Brown has rolled with that too here.
00:46:29 I just think it's so important to see him play
00:46:31 with a downhill mentality too here in these games.
00:46:35 These were really tough, challenging performances
00:46:38 and environment, a tough environment from the play-in.
00:46:40 He came through great here.
00:46:43 Listen to Blorp.
00:46:44 Like and subscribe.
00:46:45 If Nick's not here to tell you to like and subscribe,

00:47:25 A little PXG hat.
00:47:27 I know you had a hat too, huh?
00:47:29 Look at that.
00:47:29 I got a hat too, yeah.
00:47:31 And they nailed it.
00:47:31 Really good stuff.
00:47:33 The new line of apparel, premium materials, technology.
00:47:35 They make XXL hats?
00:47:38 Yeah, very, very good.
00:47:39 Quite the dome.
00:47:40 OK, P-head.
00:47:41 [LAUGHTER]
00:47:43 [LAUGHTER]
00:47:45 Did Bobby leave us?
00:47:47 Back to the three shot.
00:47:48 We're going to keep telling you about it.
00:47:50 Yeah, I didn't know they made children's hard hats.
00:47:54 They do, actually.
00:47:55 That's amazing.
00:47:56 Actually, they're one size-- they're adjustable.
00:47:58 So you can actually adjust it to any size you want.
00:48:00 Really amazing.
00:48:01 My twins have that, the same exact one.
00:48:03 Well, they're going to be available in the merch store
00:48:05 soon.
00:48:06 Let me get through this, OK?

00:48:23 As I said, I got a hat.
00:48:25 I got a couple of polos.
00:48:26 They're awesome, awesome, awesome shirts.
00:48:28 Really wear them anywhere.
00:48:29 I would go on the golf course, but I think I quit, Jimmy.
00:48:32 I think I quit.
00:48:33 I think I'm done.
00:48:33 No, you can't quit.
00:48:34 We'll talk about it later.

00:48:53 I'm only golfing if I'm going with you and Perry and Hart.
00:48:56 That's it.
00:48:58 We can arrange that.
00:48:59 We can definitely arrange that.
00:49:01 You might actually win that round.
00:49:03 I wouldn't say any of us are going low,
00:49:07 but we can make that happen.
00:49:08 I might go golfing this weekend for the first time.
00:49:11 I haven't even swum in a club this year,
00:49:12 so it should be interesting.
00:49:13 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:49:15 So yeah, but do you want to do your merch plug here?
00:49:18 We're going to talk about--
00:49:19 We might as well.
00:49:20 Yeah, I got a little overlay here too.
00:49:21 Look at this.
00:49:22 Use code 9more, guys.
00:49:25 The code is 9more.
00:49:26 Nick is doing this code simply to help Jimmy with the math,
00:49:29 so I don't have to tell him every game.
00:49:31 It took me 45 minutes to figure out that the code is 9more.
00:49:35 That's why we're putting the lower third up.
00:49:36 20% off, shop.clnsmedia.com.
00:49:41 And you will see here in this little full screen,
00:49:43 a couple of little items that you could get right now.
00:49:46 We get the Garden Report t-shirts,
00:49:47 the phenomenal t-shirts, I'm told, are back in stock
00:49:52 or they've been ordered and they're shipping out soon.
00:49:56 One thing you won't see in this little picture
00:50:01 is the hard hats, but make no mistake about it.
00:50:04 They are in production.
00:50:06 The hard hats are in production.
00:50:08 I put the order in this weekend.
00:50:10 It'll be a gift from God if these things get out in time
00:50:14 for the playoffs for everybody.
00:50:15 But once they're put together-- guys,
00:50:17 we're not taking any shortcuts here, OK?
00:50:19 These are going to be hard hats.
00:50:21 We got some stickers going on.
00:50:22 They're going to be high quality.
00:50:24 They're not going to peel off.
00:50:25 These are going to be the real deal.
00:50:27 So when they're officially completed,
00:50:30 we're going to put them in the-- a limited run.
00:50:32 I didn't buy 100 hard hats.
00:50:34 I didn't go bankrupt doing this.
00:50:35 But we're going to have enough for the diehards
00:50:37 to be able to get their hands on one.
00:50:39 Hopefully, if the Celtics can hold their end of the bargain
00:50:42 up, people will be able to wear these during the finals.
00:50:46 We'll see.
00:50:47 Knock on wood.
00:50:47 Let's do it.
00:50:48 Yep, there we go.
00:50:50 You can do it.
00:50:51 And now Jimmy can go.
00:50:53 Now Jimmy is a--
00:50:54 I'm out, guys.
00:50:55 You guys have a great night.
00:50:56 [LAUGHTER]
00:50:59 He is now at--
00:51:01 Nine more.
00:51:02 20% off.
00:51:03 Nine more.
00:51:03 I mean, that's code for nine more wins, guys.
00:51:06 Nine more wins, and they win the whole thing.
00:51:08 Yeah, very good.
00:51:10 Very good stuff.
00:51:12 So back to this one again.
00:51:13 You're looking to hopefully close it out.
00:51:15 I don't know what's going on with Mitchell here
00:51:17 with a calf strain.
00:51:19 I mean, if it's an actual calf strain,
00:51:21 and he's in Porzingis land, I have no idea.
00:51:25 But that could be that.
00:51:26 That could be lots of--
00:51:27 That could be a wrap.
00:51:28 You cannot win this game.
00:51:29 I mean, you got to be really, really hurting.
00:51:33 Because you pretty much know you're not--
00:51:35 I mean, again, give the calves credit.
00:51:37 But you pretty much know you're not winning this game
00:51:39 if Donovan Mitchell's not in it.
00:51:41 So he must be really hurting, which is, again,
00:51:44 it's a damn shame.
00:51:45 If you're just an NBA fan, you want
00:51:47 to see the superstars in there, right?
00:51:49 I mean, that's what it's all about.
00:51:50 It sucks when these guys go down.
00:51:53 So that's too bad.
00:51:55 He's had a great playoff run, too.
00:51:57 He has.
00:51:58 But it's catching up to him, though.
00:51:59 I mean, you look at Jalen Brunson,
00:52:03 you look at Josh Hart, you look at a bunch of guys
00:52:06 who have been carrying their teams forever and a day.
00:52:09 It's catching up to them right around this time.
00:52:12 Jalen Brunson was absolute trash in game four against Indiana.
00:52:15 It's not because he's a bad player.
00:52:17 It's just that physically, he's been playing more minutes
00:52:20 than anyone in the playoffs.
00:52:21 And it catches up to you at some point.
00:52:23 And we're seeing that with Donovan Mitchell.
00:52:26 He's like third in, I think, minutes played,
00:52:28 and second in points scored total in the playoffs.
00:52:32 And that's a heavy ass load for anyone to carry.
00:52:35 And it's clear that it's taking its toll on his body.
00:52:38 So it'll be interesting to see if he's a go for game five.
00:52:43 I think, yeah, I mean, I bet you he goes.
00:52:47 I think he probably--
00:52:48 I expect him to.
00:52:49 I expect him to play.
00:52:50 But wouldn't I be shocked if he doesn't?
00:52:53 I wouldn't be shocked, but I'd be surprised.
00:52:55 I feel like as long as he can play, I think he will.
00:52:57 I mean, if it's that serious, then he won't.
00:52:59 But I mean, the guy did play.
00:53:02 He must have played through it after game three.
00:53:04 So I mean, it's not like he left game three
00:53:06 with a gruesome injury.
00:53:08 And it's not like a Jared Allard situation either,
00:53:10 I don't think.
00:53:11 So I think he's going to try to fight it out.
00:53:13 That doesn't mean he might well be effective.
00:53:14 I mean, talk about a guy who's physical and all over the court
00:53:19 up and down.
00:53:19 So he needs to take 25 shots minimum
00:53:22 to have a chance in this game.
00:53:25 Yeah, which is why the Celtics also
00:53:27 need to get Porzingis back soon so they don't tax out
00:53:31 their other stars.
00:53:32 Because we're back to last year's,
00:53:34 I'm afraid to play anyone, minutes from everybody.
00:53:38 And I know it's the playoffs and everything's going to go up.
00:53:41 But you start ratcheting up these guys.
00:53:44 You have a good enough team to still keep them at 37, 38,
00:53:47 39 instead of going into 40.
00:53:50 Tatum playing the entire second half
00:53:53 is not good for long-term success.
00:53:58 We saw what happened to them in the finals a couple years ago.
00:54:00 They were burnt out.
00:54:01 They played-- I mean, Ime played them into the ground.
00:54:04 And a little bit more than you want last year too.
00:54:07 So I definitely want to see things level out a little bit
00:54:12 here.
00:54:13 Yeah, I mean, you want to-- listen,
00:54:17 take care of business on Wednesday.
00:54:19 That's all I have to say.
00:54:20 Put the cabs out of the way.
00:54:21 And hope that other thing goes seven and then you can chill.
00:54:23 Right.
00:54:24 The Pacers and the Knicks are beating the hell out
00:54:26 of each other.
00:54:27 Their guys are dropping like flies.
00:54:29 Let them play another week.
00:54:31 And you guys can--
00:54:33 everyone in the Celts can rest up and be ready to go
00:54:38 for the Eastern Conference finals.
00:54:40 They don't have to travel anywhere.
00:54:42 10 days, they'll be it.
00:54:43 They'll be hanging around.
00:54:45 That's a huge advantage.
00:54:47 So if you smell blood, which the Celtics should right now--
00:54:52 Go for the kill.
00:54:53 Go for the kill at home.
00:54:55 Wednesday night.
00:54:56 You got to-- flopping around.
00:54:58 They're flopping around, these cabs, right now.
00:55:01 They don't want to play game six.
00:55:03 A man who absolutely went for the kill in the fourth quarter,
00:55:05 and we talked about him earlier tonight, Jalen Brown.
00:55:08 You could see how fired up he was in this one.
00:55:12 He was fired up all night.
00:55:14 He was really pissed off about that fourth foul.
00:55:16 He didn't want to come out of that game.
00:55:18 Then when he hit that three, he was just barking at everybody.
00:55:20 He grabbed Drew's foot at one point, too.
00:55:23 He was fired up.
00:55:24 Again, you love all of it when you're
00:55:26 seeing the energy, that level of energy,
00:55:29 coming from Tatum and Brown.
00:55:30 Then here's Jalen after the game,
00:55:32 talking about why he was so jacked up.
00:55:36 Big three there in the last two minutes.
00:55:38 And what do you think about your guys' execution
00:55:41 offensively in those crunching moments?
00:55:43 And then you also got pretty fired up after that play.
00:55:44 Did someone hit you on that as you're
00:55:46 going back down the floor?
00:55:48 No, Tyler, who the official who was running down the sideline,
00:55:53 I don't think he was paying attention,
00:55:55 but he was in the play.
00:55:56 So as I'm lifting up, I got bumped into him first.
00:55:59 I had to push him out the way to catch the ball,
00:56:01 and then they wouldn't knock the shot.
00:56:03 But it's like, I was using the extra defender right there,
00:56:06 because he was in the way.
00:56:07 So that's what I was telling him,
00:56:08 to get his ass out the way.
00:56:10 [LAUGHTER]
00:56:11 Jason also hit you with a contravatory hit,
00:56:14 and you looked--
00:56:15 Just out the way, ref.
00:56:16 --Jason back there.
00:56:17 [LAUGHTER]
00:56:18 I was paying no attention.
00:56:19 He just comes out of nowhere with a left hook
00:56:22 straight to the chest.
00:56:23 I'm looking back at that.
00:56:26 Yeah, I remember that.
00:56:28 Yeah, Jalen--
00:56:29 Maybe they like each other.
00:56:31 Yeah.
00:56:31 Really.
00:56:32 [LAUGHTER]
00:56:33 Yeah, oh, these--
00:56:35 Jalen looked at--
00:56:35 Oh, really?
00:56:36 They don't like each other, John?
00:56:37 Really?
00:56:37 They're not friends?
00:56:39 Jalen looked at him like, what the--
00:56:41 you hit me like that for?
00:56:43 Yeah.
00:56:44 I like playoff Jalen right now.
00:56:46 I like playoff Jalen.
00:56:49 He's leveling up.
00:56:50 That's what you have to do.
00:56:51 I've been saying it ever since the playoff.
00:56:53 You have to-- everybody has to level up.
00:56:56 If you don't, the other team is.
00:56:58 There goes that advantage that you once have.
00:56:59 You have to continue that advantage
00:57:01 by also taking it to that next level.
00:57:04 Jalen Brown's done that, attitude-wise.
00:57:06 Love what I see.
00:57:07 I love the fire out there.
00:57:08 He's passionate, but not out of control,
00:57:10 not to the point where he's hurting your team,
00:57:12 not like Grant Williams-type energy.
00:57:15 It's not clunky and goofy.
00:57:17 It's calculated.
00:57:19 It's when you need it the most, John,
00:57:22 you were talking about how it seems like Brown has been--
00:57:27 when you need a basket or when you need somebody
00:57:29 to come through for you, it seems
00:57:31 like it's been Brown in this playoff series,
00:57:33 in this playoffs.
00:57:34 Yeah.
00:57:34 So he's got that swagger with him right now.
00:57:36 He's riding a little bit of swagger,
00:57:40 which is what you want.
00:57:41 And Tatum--
00:57:41 [INTERPOSING VOICES]
00:57:42 --has a posting look going.
00:57:43 He likes those sunglasses.
00:57:45 We've seen those a few times now.
00:57:47 Right.
00:57:47 He needs to get a deal with those glasses, I'm just saying.
00:57:50 He needs to get a deal.
00:57:52 Maybe that's the play.
00:57:53 Exactly.
00:57:54 I'm buying, though.
00:57:57 On this version of Brown, I'm buying--
00:58:00 meaning I'm buying the--
00:58:05 it's not--
00:58:06 It's real?
00:58:06 No.
00:58:07 The fired up kind of leader step up the game stuff,
00:58:11 I'm buying that it's real.
00:58:12 I think sometimes some efforts in the past from these guys
00:58:15 felt forced or inconsistent.
00:58:18 You're always looking for that person to step up and was like,
00:58:21 is anybody following anybody?
00:58:24 Especially when we were trying to get it to be Marcus.
00:58:26 Tatum has kind of understated.
00:58:28 He does it more with his style.
00:58:29 Brown can be quiet.
00:58:31 He can be fiery, but you wouldn't see it.
00:58:33 I think he's kind of stepped up his like, all right,
00:58:36 I'll be more of that guy sort of thing,
00:58:38 almost in the absence of--
00:58:40 because Holliday is understated.
00:58:41 Horford is understated.
00:58:43 You got pros here.
00:58:44 Porziunis is kind of cool.
00:58:46 Everybody's like kind of really chill.
00:58:48 And it's good because they can stay level-headed.
00:58:51 They don't panic.
00:58:52 They don't freak out.
00:58:53 They like each other.
00:58:54 They're not like bickering and shit.
00:58:56 But someone does have to kind of be that guy.
00:58:59 I think Brown just looked around.
00:59:00 It's like, I think it's me.
00:59:01 I think it's me.
00:59:02 And he kind of stepped into it.
00:59:04 And I am buying a little that people are taking to it a bit.
00:59:10 And that's like, all right.
00:59:13 Because it couldn't be smart.
00:59:15 It couldn't be your sixth best player.
00:59:18 It's really hard.
00:59:19 That was always the challenge, going back
00:59:21 to Ime wanting to name captains.
00:59:23 And Tatum and Brown are like, nah.
00:59:25 So it's like, ugh, really?
00:59:28 One of you do it?
00:59:29 It would be great if you did.
00:59:32 And it's hard.
00:59:33 It's hard when it's a role player.
00:59:35 It really has to be somebody who people look to and be like,
00:59:38 all right, we're going to follow this dude.
00:59:40 So I'm definitely buying a little bit right now.
00:59:42 Because I think he's playing with that guard mentality.
00:59:45 And people are responding to it right now.
00:59:48 But you need it.
00:59:49 And it seems like Tatum is buying into it as well.
00:59:52 I mean, you look at the play--
00:59:53 I mean, remember the scene there with the time where Tatum
00:59:55 would never pass him a damn ball?
00:59:58 Just wouldn't.
00:59:59 And now Tatum not only is passing him the ball,
01:00:02 but Tatum's getting him to rock and clutch moments
01:00:04 where Tatum has a choice.
01:00:06 Take this fourth shot, pass it to my teammate who
01:00:09 will take a less fourth shot.
01:00:12 And he's making the right call, more times than not with that.
01:00:15 And they seem to have a clearer understanding of their roles
01:00:20 in the whole hierarchy of leadership.
01:00:25 And it's working out well for both of them.
01:00:27 They both seem to be very comfortable with being
01:00:30 who they are, regardless of whatever
01:00:33 outside noise is out there.
01:00:34 I think fair.
01:00:37 I think fair.
01:00:38 I like it right now.
01:00:39 It's again, I've always been--
01:00:41 I'm less concerned with how much they like each other,
01:00:43 and whether they're just comfortable being whoever it is
01:00:46 that they're going to be.
01:00:47 Not the liking each other, but the whole
01:00:48 like they need to go out on the town
01:00:50 and be best buddies all the time.
01:00:51 You know, it's a funny narrative that I
01:00:54 don't think mattered too much.
01:00:55 But you always want people to like--
01:00:57 you want to have that closeness and that bond there.
01:01:00 Because I think when you play for other people,
01:01:03 you're not just worried about like you failing.
01:01:07 You don't want to let--
01:01:08 if you have that closeness, you don't
01:01:09 want to let your brother down.
01:01:11 I think right now that shared goal sort of thing
01:01:13 that they've got here is real.
01:01:16 And they see it.
01:01:16 And they desperately want it.
01:01:20 So again, you're really hoping for Zingis gets back.
01:01:23 And they can kind of put the band back together
01:01:26 and make a legitimate run here.
01:01:27 And we're hoping he will.
01:01:28 For those people who want to see it,
01:01:30 I'll show you some of it right now.
01:01:32 We did have poor Zingis--
01:01:33 Oh, that's pretty.
01:01:34 --work out today.
01:01:35 And this is KP at Celtics Shootaround.
01:01:38 He's doing a teeny bit more than he had been doing.
01:01:42 He's dressed, too.
01:01:43 He's dressed.
01:01:44 He moved around.
01:01:45 I know there's some stationary stuff here.
01:01:47 He did some drills where he did move a little bit.
01:01:49 It's still slow.
01:01:51 I don't know that you're seeing anything
01:01:52 that's going to be this series.
01:01:55 I know there was a report earlier from Bull Pat
01:01:59 that, yeah, calves are expecting him.
01:02:03 I'm not expecting him yet.
01:02:06 But pretty good that they're in the position they're in now.
01:02:11 Hi, Josue.
01:02:12 We're talking to you.
01:02:13 Where did Josue just come from?
01:02:15 He just kind of jumped in.
01:02:17 The calves?
01:02:19 What do you mean?
01:02:20 He's not coming back for this series.
01:02:21 I mean, the series is over.
01:02:22 There was a report earlier that the calves thought
01:02:24 they were going to see him.
01:02:25 But he is dressed.
01:02:26 He did dress himself.
01:02:27 That's good.
01:02:28 Yep.
01:02:29 Right?
01:02:29 Right, Jimmy?
01:02:30 Yeah, absolutely.
01:02:31 Yeah, I mean, look at that.
01:02:32 He's able to just--
01:02:33 That's positive.
01:02:34 Yeah, we're good.
01:02:35 We're good.
01:02:35 And it's not a suit, but it's shorts and a warm-up there.
01:02:40 Where's Derek White?
01:02:41 It's just Josue.
01:02:43 Never mind.
01:02:44 Where's Derek White?
01:02:45 Josue, with great power comes great responsibility.
01:02:48 Yeah, it's just Josue.
01:02:50 We'll get to him later.
01:02:51 What's up, buddy?
01:02:54 He's muted.
01:02:55 We were kidding, Josue.
01:02:56 He's gargling.
01:02:57 He has no idea where he is.
01:03:02 Hey, fellas.
01:03:04 Hey, fellas.
01:03:05 Hey, fellas.
01:03:07 Watch that.
01:03:07 That's me actually getting rid of Josue.
01:03:10 We'll get back to Josue.
01:03:11 We had some issues there.
01:03:13 While we wait on Josue, we will say another person
01:03:15 who was huge tonight.
01:03:18 And I think the--
01:03:20 I don't know if you're going to give him the--
01:03:22 I'm giving him the brownie.
01:03:23 I'm going to go--
01:03:24 I'm going ahead-- no, I'm going ahead and giving
01:03:26 Holiday the brownie tonight.
01:03:29 And he was great, but he also talked
01:03:31 about what Joe talked about earlier, kind of that clutch
01:03:33 time and being able to keep it together here late in the game.
01:03:36 --finer, even maybe at times more satisfying
01:03:39 to win a grimy, ugly game like this defense.
01:03:42 For sure.
01:03:44 Like this one here said, it's been a while
01:03:46 since we had kind of like that grind it out, tough,
01:03:50 back and forth, fight it out game.
01:03:52 So it felt good to really just get up there and execute
01:03:55 and know that any type of game that we play,
01:03:58 we can execute and get the win.
01:03:59 This was your first single digit game of the entire playoff run.
01:04:03 How unusual has it been that you haven't really
01:04:06 played a close game yet?
01:04:07 And then where does it take to stay focused from night
01:04:10 to night when you're not in too many programs?
01:04:14 I think it's just the will to win.
01:04:16 We know that they're not going to come out and just lay down.
01:04:19 So we expected this.
01:04:21 We kind of wanted it.
01:04:23 You want it and you don't want it.
01:04:24 But now that we've been through it, it's a good feeling,
01:04:28 like I said, just to grind it out and get a win.
01:04:30 Did he refer to Abby as this one?
01:04:36 I missed that.
01:04:39 He was like, as this one said over here.
01:04:40 I was like, Abby, dude.
01:04:43 No, Josue, let me do it.
01:04:45 There we go.
01:04:45 No, you don't let me on.
01:04:47 I let me on.
01:04:48 All right, John.
01:04:49 I let me on.
01:04:50 We talked about this.
01:04:51 We talked about this, John.
01:04:53 Where's LeBron?
01:04:54 Oh, look at the comment section.
01:04:55 Look at this.
01:04:56 Josue, look at this.
01:04:56 Oh, man.
01:04:57 Yeah, you're bringing LeBron?
01:04:58 Who you got for us?
01:05:01 You spoiled us now.
01:05:02 LeBron left before this game was over, man.
01:05:05 Yeah, he did the tatum at the dunk contest tonight.
01:05:08 Wow.
01:05:12 I'm proud of us.
01:05:13 The only thing that was missing was the jacket, the tatum
01:05:16 jacket, the long coat, the F this, I got things to do jacket.
01:05:20 Yeah.
01:05:22 Wow.
01:05:24 And Tatum's going to get Jalen back.
01:05:26 Oh, excuse me.
01:05:26 The other way around.
01:05:27 Jalen's going to get Tatum back for that huge hit to the chest
01:05:30 he gave him.
01:05:31 That's good.
01:05:31 Tatum said, look, man, I was in it.
01:05:33 It was a big shot.
01:05:35 So he gave him a big bump in the chest.
01:05:37 But yeah, man, this is a great--
01:05:40 I mean, maybe great's not the right word.
01:05:42 These guys injure each other.
01:05:44 Yeah, I know, right?
01:05:45 Man, I just think the way these guys made sure the worst didn't
01:05:50 happen in that second half is the best part
01:05:54 about this Celtics win.
01:05:55 Tatum and Brown, I mean, first of all, Jalen, man,
01:05:57 like this efficient, another efficient scoring night,
01:06:01 it's incredible.
01:06:02 And I asked him, the way I wanted to phrase this question,
01:06:04 I wanted him to say what he said.
01:06:07 The reason why is because Joe Mazzullo talked about poise,
01:06:10 passing the ball, how important that stuff is.
01:06:13 He emphasized it like three times with Adam Simmel's ball
01:06:15 as if he was joking because the room was laughing.
01:06:17 He's like, no, I'm serious.
01:06:19 That's it.
01:06:19 That's what they need to do.
01:06:21 And asking Jalen about that, I'm like,
01:06:22 is that what's leading to this efficiency?
01:06:24 Everyone on the same page.
01:06:25 And Jalen was like, yeah, but it's also me.
01:06:28 I've been doing this.
01:06:30 And to be frank, when I'm being aggressive,
01:06:34 no one on that side can guard me.
01:06:36 And I 1,000% agree with Jalen, especially
01:06:39 when this team is playing defense at a high level, which
01:06:41 we saw throughout this game.
01:06:43 Not all four quarters, I mean, things got a little sloppy,
01:06:46 especially in that first half.
01:06:47 But for the most part, man, I just
01:06:49 feel like whether it's in transition
01:06:51 or whether it's just off the dribble,
01:06:52 Jalen, he has that advantage in this series in a big way.
01:06:56 And that's the reason I think he's been super efficient.
01:06:59 He's been able to put together these performances scoring
01:07:02 above 50%, leading the team in scoring in the playoffs,
01:07:05 not by a lot, but I think it's significant when you think
01:07:07 about what Jalen's been doing.
01:07:08 Again, we talked about earlier just
01:07:13 where he-- I wouldn't say rescued,
01:07:14 but he's kind of been that steady and calming offensive
01:07:18 presence when things go to shit, when they stagnate.
01:07:24 Like game three, I thought-- I mean, without him,
01:07:28 he didn't let them go cold because he was so efficient.
01:07:31 He didn't get as many shots up in the second half of game two
01:07:34 because, again, foul trouble.
01:07:36 He played fewer minutes.
01:07:37 He only had 14 minutes.
01:07:38 But again, tough bucket after tough bucket,
01:07:40 and obviously the signature bucket
01:07:42 to kind of ice the win when it was like,
01:07:44 this could go either way here.
01:07:46 And then he-- boom, dagger, and that was it.
01:07:49 So yeah, Brown was awesome.
01:07:52 You got a little bit of everything
01:07:53 from the top three guys tonight, from Brown, Tatum, and Holiday.
01:07:59 Holiday, across the board, man, both ends of the floor.
01:08:02 These guys could have been in trouble
01:08:03 if Holiday wasn't out there.
01:08:04 I mean, maybe I'm saying the obvious here,
01:08:06 but I just can't emphasize enough the rebounding assist,
01:08:09 like, again, across the board, and just
01:08:11 hitting some tough shots, contested three-pointers.
01:08:14 I mean, man, is this what the Bucs fans are missing?
01:08:17 Or is this what we--
01:08:19 Southern fans sort of slept on the whole playoff drew?
01:08:21 Because we're starting to see it in a big way, man,
01:08:23 these last couple of games.
01:08:24 And tonight, I felt like throughout those grueling
01:08:28 stretches with the Cleveland Cavaliers weren't going away.
01:08:31 He kept them at bay in one way or another,
01:08:33 whether on the defensive end of the side
01:08:36 or just scoring some big shots on the other end.
01:08:38 Here's Tatum giving props to Holiday.
01:08:40 I believe White, too, didn't have a great offensive game,
01:08:43 but for all that they do.
01:08:44 Yeah.
01:08:45 [INAUDIBLE]
01:08:45 Yeah, I'm just thankful that those guys were on our team.
01:08:55 The intangible game we played tonight,
01:08:58 night in and night out, where they're chasing shooters around
01:09:04 or fighting through screens or coming over the top
01:09:07 and contesting shots.
01:09:11 They do it however long they're in the game.
01:09:14 They're really the anchor of our defense.
01:09:18 And we just try to match their intensity throughout.
01:09:21 Yeah.
01:09:27 I mean, they're--
01:09:28 That's what you do.
01:09:29 That's what's-- yeah, that's what's
01:09:31 supposed to happen when you've got two of the top defenders
01:09:34 on your roster.
01:09:34 I mean, you really-- it's literally a matter of you
01:09:37 just following their lead, because you
01:09:38 know they're going to do the right thing more times than not.
01:09:41 And one of the points we talked about earlier,
01:09:43 sometimes the Celtics forget that they're a damn good elite
01:09:46 team defensively.
01:09:48 And they allow that their shot making or lack of shot making
01:09:51 to impact what they do at the other end of the floor.
01:09:53 And it should never come to that.
01:09:55 They're at their absolute best when they
01:09:58 are defending at a high level.
01:10:01 Yeah, for sure, Sherrod.
01:10:02 I'm glad, you know, between the Tatum--
01:10:05 thank you, Joseph, John, Drew.
01:10:07 What? Is that true?
01:10:08 Is that accurate?
01:10:09 I thought it said Jalen for a second.
01:10:11 But Drew--
01:10:11 I'm like the biggest--
01:10:12 I'm like the biggest Hollywood apologist.
01:10:14 Yeah, you give Drew props.
01:10:16 I thought it said Jalen.
01:10:17 I had to double check that.
01:10:18 I'm almost-- I've almost expected at some point
01:10:20 to get called out because I've refused to say anything
01:10:23 bad about him all year.
01:10:24 So it's a funny comment to make.
01:10:26 But yeah.
01:10:27 I loved him before he got to Boston and everything here,
01:10:32 even through the, well, he's not scoring as much as I want--
01:10:35 you know, people-- yeah.
01:10:36 Yeah.
01:10:37 I don't think--
01:10:38 You didn't want him coming off the bench, right, John?
01:10:40 You didn't want him coming off the bench.
01:10:42 Fine, fair, Judah, fair.
01:10:44 People just assume I say something about everybody.
01:10:46 But yeah, it's your right.
01:10:47 I just catch-- I just catch strays.
01:10:49 But yeah, he was--
01:10:51 he was fine.
01:10:52 He was great.
01:10:53 Joe, so did you try to get someone tonight?
01:10:55 I at least want to know.
01:10:56 Man, these guys want to get out of here quick.
01:10:58 I mean, just look at how fast Tatum spoke.
01:11:00 He never speaks that fast.
01:11:01 And it was like right after Jalen.
01:11:02 So yeah, man, it's just one of those days.
01:11:04 Like, I came out here, and nobody was hanging out
01:11:07 like they were last time.
01:11:08 Luke was out here earlier for a little bit,
01:11:11 but it was like--
01:11:13 like, Joe-- only Joe had spoken.
01:11:15 Yeah, I mean, can you imagine how crushing that would be
01:11:18 for Bobby if he did that?
01:11:19 But next time--
01:11:20 Oh, yeah.
01:11:21 You should have totally done it.
01:11:21 You should have totally done it.
01:11:22 For real.
01:11:24 Bobby would have hopped on his phone.
01:11:25 If Bobby came here--
01:11:26 if Bobby came and be like catching your wife in bed,
01:11:29 you know, like--
01:11:30 [LAUGHTER]
01:11:33 You come home early from your trip
01:11:37 to survive-- to surprise your wife
01:11:39 she's in bed with your brother or something, you know?
01:11:41 Like-- yeah, like--
01:11:44 Yeah.
01:11:45 You take the early flight home one day, and yeah.
01:11:47 Yeah, exactly.
01:11:49 Bobby, Bobby, don't take the early flight.
01:11:51 You don't want to see it, buddy.
01:11:54 Yeah, I forgot what I was going to say earlier, man.
01:11:55 That was funny.
01:11:56 [LAUGHTER]
01:11:57 Well, we're in a buck time.
01:11:59 Oh, this is what I was going to say.
01:12:00 I was going to say.
01:12:01 Wait.
01:12:02 Bobby comes in in the next five minutes, or we're gone.
01:12:03 But yeah, go ahead.
01:12:04 Well, he hopped on earlier.
01:12:05 I was surprised he was on so early, but that's good.
01:12:07 No, I was going to say--
01:12:08 I yelled at him.
01:12:10 I was going to say, like, one of the ways
01:12:12 the Celtics team could lose--
01:12:13 and maybe it's the characteristic
01:12:15 of the old Celtics team, but between the technical foul
01:12:19 with Jalen and that Max Struess mix up,
01:12:22 Jason Tatum, not only complaining about a foul,
01:12:26 but nearly getting in one of these officials' face, man.
01:12:28 Can you imagine?
01:12:29 That's the type of stuff that I just feel like the Celtics have
01:12:32 really--
01:12:32 they're getting better about that stuff
01:12:34 because it doesn't linger like it used to.
01:12:36 I feel like that stuff used to carry over to the next quarter.
01:12:38 And all of a sudden, they're chucking up shots.
01:12:40 And all of a sudden, it's like frustration plays.
01:12:42 But that wasn't the case this time.
01:12:44 These guys focused.
01:12:46 They refocused, I should say.
01:12:47 And yeah, you saw a lot of that connectivity
01:12:51 during the timeouts and stuff.
01:12:52 I remember Joe Mazzullo grabbing Derek White and Drew Holiday,
01:12:55 doing these sidebars and stuff.
01:12:57 They were really into this game.
01:12:58 And then, of course, classic Joe Mazzullo quote
01:13:01 coming after this one--
01:13:03 do you like this type of atmosphere?
01:13:06 Things are scrappy and all that stuff.
01:13:08 He was like 1,000%.
01:13:09 And I think these guys do, too.
01:13:11 And that's it, man.
01:13:12 I mean, obviously, these guys, whether it's adversity
01:13:15 or when the unexpected happens, Joe loves that stuff.
01:13:19 And the stuff is responding in a good way, of course.
01:13:23 3-1 in the series, like it's supposed to.
01:13:25 Took care of business here in Cleveland.
01:13:27 I wanted Bobby back because I wanted
01:13:28 to ask him something somebody in the comments asked,
01:13:31 which is that there was a rumor out there
01:13:34 that Noah got buckets on him in the pickup game.
01:13:37 Is that true?
01:13:38 No, no.
01:13:38 That's just what everybody wants, man.
01:13:40 That is not true.
01:13:41 That is not true.
01:13:42 The fact that, like, what is it, like 100,000 views on Twitter?
01:13:46 Like, it just-- and none of these comments were positive.
01:13:49 Like, the guy, the one guy who makes a bucket,
01:13:51 Richie, which is my sis, by the way, but whatever.
01:13:55 No one even said a word about the dude who makes a shot.
01:13:57 Oh, look at Bobby doing this.
01:13:58 Look at Joe Sweat.
01:13:59 What kind of scre--
01:14:00 [AUDIO OUT]
01:14:03 Oh.
01:14:05 We lose him?
01:14:07 Yeah.
01:14:09 First frame.
01:14:12 Joe Sweat was getting fired up.
01:14:14 Joe Sweat was getting-- that's the look
01:14:15 you get when you don't feel like you get the respect you
01:14:18 deserve on the court.
01:14:19 Exactly.
01:14:21 That's the look you get right there.
01:14:23 But I actually-- I think Noah, from what I hear, Noah actually--
01:14:27 Noah plays-- Noah actually balls and Bobby doesn't.
01:14:30 So let's-- let's-- let's say-- let's--
01:14:33 let's call this for what it is.
01:14:34 She plays ball.
01:14:35 Bobby--
01:14:36 She plays ball and knows ball.
01:14:38 She plays ball, knows ball.
01:14:40 Bobby picked-- Bobby picked up basketball
01:14:42 a little later in life.
01:14:43 Bobby-- Bobby Thanasis was no match.
01:14:46 Bobby Thanasis was no match.
01:14:48 Thanasis Manning was no match.
01:14:50 Honestly, I would have been shocked if she didn't put--
01:14:52 if she didn't take him to school.
01:14:54 She put him in a blender?
01:14:56 Yeah.
01:14:57 I could see that.
01:14:58 She plays ball.
01:15:00 I got to watch that clip again.
01:15:02 We got to bring her on and get the real story.
01:15:05 Yeah.
01:15:06 Yeah.
01:15:07 That's funny.
01:15:08 That's a picture for them.
01:15:09 Yeah.
01:15:10 Is Bobby coming back on?
01:15:12 We don't know.
01:15:14 We don't know.
01:15:14 Pritchard tonight, real quick before we end it.
01:15:16 I thought Pritchard was huge for them in that third quarter.
01:15:19 I think--
01:15:20 That three, man.
01:15:21 That three was massive.
01:15:21 We gave him what, like a 10-point lead or something
01:15:23 like that?
01:15:24 10-point lead, yep.
01:15:25 He just came in--
01:15:27 he maximized his role tonight, I felt like.
01:15:30 And he's taking a little bit of criticism in this playoffs
01:15:34 because there's been a lot of games where not just him,
01:15:36 but the bench in general, Pritchard, Hauser,
01:15:39 the rest of those guys, it hasn't been a bench
01:15:43 playoffs, to say the least.
01:15:44 So this was a game where Pritchard
01:15:47 can be happy about that performance
01:15:49 and maybe something to build off of a little bit.
01:15:51 But he had some big energy moments tonight,
01:15:55 energy shifting.
01:15:56 That's what you want for your bench guys.
01:15:58 You want those guys to come in.
01:16:00 The Celtics had stretches of flatness tonight,
01:16:02 especially in that fourth quarter.
01:16:03 But throughout the game, they had some stretches
01:16:05 where, again, they let the Cavs climb back into things,
01:16:08 gave the Cavs a reason to believe,
01:16:11 gave Cavs fans a reason to cheer.
01:16:13 And then there were a couple instances tonight
01:16:15 where Pritchard came through for them.
01:16:16 He had three threes, all finished with 11 points.
01:16:21 And I just think that he's--
01:16:22 that was exactly what you want from a guy coming in
01:16:28 off the bench, 25 minutes, 11 points, nothing outrageous.
01:16:32 But it was when he scored them that I thought
01:16:36 was important in this game.
01:16:38 He gets my Brownie Award.
01:16:40 Pritchard gets my Brownie Award.
01:16:42 I like it.
01:16:42 No offense to Drew Holiday.
01:16:44 He had a great game.
01:16:45 That's fine.
01:16:45 Sherrod, closing thoughts before we wrap it?
01:16:47 No.
01:16:48 Celtics handled their business, which
01:16:51 they came to Cleveland to do.
01:16:52 It wasn't always pretty, but it shouldn't be always
01:16:55 pretty this time of year.
01:16:56 I like what Drew Holiday is doing.
01:16:58 It would be interesting to see if he can just
01:17:00 finish the deal off in Boston.
01:17:02 My gut tells me Derek White's going to have a big game five
01:17:06 because he's doing--
01:17:07 OK.
01:17:08 That's coming directly from the Derek White fan club.
01:17:10 Exactly, exactly.
01:17:12 We don't throw that out too often.
01:17:13 Get the press release out, Sherrod.
01:17:15 Is it going to be in the mailer tonight?
01:17:16 [LAUGHS]
01:17:19 I like it.
01:17:19 Well, we are wrapping it.
01:17:21 Celtics hold on their first kind of grinded out
01:17:24 win of the postseason here, 109-102.
01:17:26 They lead the series 3-1.
01:17:27 Game five is on--
01:17:31 what's tonight?
01:17:32 Wednesday.
01:17:32 What's today, Monday?
01:17:33 Wednesday.
01:17:33 Wednesday at the Garden.
01:17:35 Should be a closeout game.
01:17:36 A bunch of us will be down there.
01:17:38 I might do the show from the Garden on that one.
01:17:40 How about that?
01:17:41 What?
01:17:41 I might do the show from the Garden.
01:17:42 Give me a press pass.
01:17:43 I'll do it too.
01:17:43 Give me a press pass.
01:17:44 I know.
01:17:44 You might be the only one.
01:17:46 You'll be the sad girl sitting at home.
01:17:48 That'll just be you.
01:17:50 I'll be at the Harp.
01:17:50 I'm going to bring my laptop to the Harp.
01:17:52 OK, that'll work.
01:17:54 Anyway, we'll see you guys.
01:17:55 Chat, thank you, as always.
01:17:58 You've been awesome.

01:18:37 They bring it every single night.
01:18:38 How about them C's?
01:18:39 What am I missing?
01:18:40 I've got to be missing some.
01:18:42 Goodwin Ryan, Cedric Maxwell.
01:18:44 Loaded.
01:18:44 Tons of stuff.
01:18:46 Tons of stuff.
01:18:46 So make sure you check that out.
01:18:47 We are going to--
01:18:48 Jimmy, were you saying something before I press--
01:18:50 I met a Celtics fan last night at the Bruins game
01:18:52 visiting from Australia.
01:18:54 And I sent him--
01:18:55 literally sent him the first to the floor link.
01:18:59 Just hit Subscribe on this podcast.
01:19:01 And I blew it.
01:19:03 Eric, who's college buddies with Steve,
01:19:06 who works over at the Celtics, big fan of the show.
01:19:09 Meant to give a shout out.
01:19:10 Lives in New York right now.
01:19:12 Went to Northeastern.
01:19:14 So shout out to Eric.
01:19:15 Also, and Max.
01:19:17 I ran into Max at my favorite Greek shop,
01:19:20 Sophia's in Belmont, free plug for Sophia's.
01:19:25 These are just fans?
01:19:26 Love that.
01:19:27 Stupidly went on--
01:19:28 I went the day before Greek Easter.
01:19:32 And it was packed.
01:19:33 And Max was like, hey, man, I watch you guys.
01:19:35 And it was great.
01:19:36 And I gave him my advice on which feta he should get.
01:19:39 And he took it.
01:19:39 So Max, I'm curious if you liked it.
01:19:42 Yeah.
01:19:42 What did you tell him?
01:19:43 Epitos, sheep's milk.
01:19:45 Very good.
01:19:47 It's got a little of everything.
01:19:50 Epitos.
01:19:50 It's the good stuff.
01:19:51 Epitos.
01:19:52 Love a sheep.
01:19:53 You're saying sheep's milk?
01:19:55 Is that what you just said?
01:19:56 Yeah.
01:19:58 Love that.
01:19:59 Love it.
01:20:00 Love that.
01:20:01 I'll have to get some.
01:20:03 All right.
01:20:04 Wednesday it is, hump day.
01:20:06 I might have to get weird on Wednesday
01:20:09 if you guys are all partying, too.
01:20:10 I'm going to have to do the same.
01:20:11 It's going to be nice out, too.
01:20:13 Thank you to everybody.
01:20:14 Thank you to Josue and Bobby, jumping on from Cleveland.
01:20:19 Those guys are on their way home.
01:20:20 Amit, of course--
01:20:21 Hope we don't have to go back there.
01:20:23 Rich LeMay, our social media producer extraordinaire,
01:20:28 and the guy who scored in that bucket,
01:20:31 and scored the bucket in that video
01:20:32 that you guys were all talking about.
01:20:34 So thank you to Richie.
01:20:37 On the road, yep.
01:20:38 He's young.
01:20:39 He's spry.
01:20:39 This gets the kids.
01:20:41 You got to see all the--
01:20:42 I would work these kids.
01:20:44 I would work, absolutely work these guys.
01:20:45 They'll get up and down the court.
01:20:47 I'm sure you would.
01:20:48 We'll see you guys later.
01:20:49 Take care.
01:20:49 Wait, Amit's got an outro for us, I think.
01:20:52 No, he doesn't.
01:20:53 He said he was going to work on an outro.
01:20:55 He had a phenomenal game.
01:20:57 Phenomenal game.
01:21:00 Poor for doubt, I think it's an option.
01:21:02 That did not sound like a chair.
01:21:08 It was a freaking chair.
01:21:09 It does sound like a chair.
01:21:11 [MUSIC PLAYING]
01:21:15 (upbeat music)
01:21:17 (gentle music)
