Ambulances Diverted from 'Several' Hospitals Due to Ascension Healthcare Network Hit by Cyberattack

A major cyberattack has disrupted operations at Ascension, a large US healthcare network with 140 hospitals. Ascension has diverted some ambulances from "several" hospitals due to cyberattack impacts. Access to electronic health records, phone systems, and test and medication ordering is hampered. The nonprofit network is using downtime procedures and paper records for patient care. Recent cyberattacks have similarly crippled other large US healthcare providers. The February Change Healthcare hack slowed pharmacies and threatened some providers.
