Trump Media Hires New Auditor Following BF Borgers' SEC Fallout

Trump Media hired a new auditor, Semple, Marchal & Cooper LLP, after firing its previous accounting firm BF Borgers CPA. The SEC accused BF Borgers of failing to perform proper audits and signing off on over 1,500 regulatory filings without doing the required work. As part of a settlement, BF Borgers and its owner agreed to a permanent ban from auditing public companies, requiring Trump Media and other clients of BF Borgers to find new auditors. Over 500 public companies' filings were impacted by BF Borgers' actions.
