Israel's war cabinet says it supports a counterattack against Iran. Israeli officials stressed there would be repercussions when deciding on a counterattack without reaching a clear decision, and the United States would certainly encourage Israel to review its ideas.

After more than 3 hours of deliberations on Sunday afternoon, Israel's five-member war cabinet did not reach a decision on how the country would respond to Iran's massive missile and drone attack on Saturday evening, in light of several reports that the United States urged caution and the president of the of the United States, Joe Biden, himself urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to think carefully.

Finally, the Israeli war cabinet stopped its discussions but is expected to meet again in the near future. while the NBC network quoted an official source in the Israeli prime minister's office as saying that although a decision had not yet been taken, the IDF needed to present options, and it was clear that Israel would respond.

Israeli officials quoted by Reuters said that the Israeli war cabinet wanted retaliation against Iran. However, opinions differ regarding the timing and scale of the response.
The war cabinet discussions took place less than 24 hours after Iran launched an unprecedented attack on Israel, in which Iran fired around 350 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones at Israel on Saturday night, and 99% of them were successfully intercepted, as reported by the IDF.

Iran successfully launched an attack of around 300 drones in a counter-attack operation against Israel on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Not long after Iran attacked Israel, Russia reportedly sent the warship Marshal Shaposnikov on Monday, April 15, 2024.

The warship was equipped with supersonic Kinzal missiles and was rumored to have entered the Mediterranean Sea via the Suez Canal. The Kremlin confirmed that it had stationed Marshal Shaposnikov's warship in the region. However, the warship was commissioned long before the war between Iran and Israel began.

It was also reported that the Shaposnikov warship was sent with the aim of planning naval exercises. Therefore, the ship will continue to carry out its assigned tasks according to the previous expedition plan.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will help Iran attack Israel if the United States attacks Tehran to help the Zionists. This was conveyed by United States political observer Jackson Hinkel. He said President Vladimir Putin had expressed his support for Iran.
Russia urges Iran not to be half-hearted in attacking Israel if Washington attacks Teheran.
