Based on Alfa Romeo 4C, Limited to 5 Pieces, New Abarth Classiche 1300 OT

The mid-engine sports car, which is part of the brand's 75th anniversary celebrations, is likely based on the Alfa Romeo 4C and only five units will be produced.
The 75th birthday celebrations of Fiat's own tuning company, Abarth, continue at full speed.
An exhibition opened this week at Stellantis' Heritage Center in Turin; A number of classic and modern Abarth models were exhibited here, as well as a scale model of a new mid-engine sports car.
The car in question is the Abarth Classiche 1300 OT, a modern interpretation of the Fiat Abarth OT 1300, the small and successful Fiat 850-based sports racer from the 1960s. Even better, Abarth has announced it will make it, but only five will be built.
If you think the beautiful yellow coupe looks familiar, that's because it's essentially a hardtop version of 2022's Abarth Classiche 1000 SP, itself a nod to another of the company's mid-century racers.
This car, of which five will be produced, was actually a redesigned Alfa Romeo 4C, and although Abarth has yet to reveal any further details about the 1300 OT, it's almost certainly the same story. That means a carbon tub and mid-mounted 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 237 hp, a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, and almost certainly a curb weight of under a tonne.
Homages to the original 1300 OT include a toned-down version of the distinctive 'periscope' air intake and what looks like a proper clamshell rear section.
The Classiche 1300 OT is available to order now, although only five sets will be made so you better be quick if you want it. Meanwhile, the Abarth exhibition will continue for another three months, so you'll have some more time to stop by Turin and look at some beautiful old racing and rally cars.
