Iran's retaliatory attack on Israel on Saturday, April 13, 2024, received responses and criticism from various countries. Many countries then warned that the attack could disrupt stability in the Middle East.

Europe condemned the attack of hundreds of drones on Israel, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz also strongly condemned the Iranian attack.

Not only Germany, but Britain also spoke out through British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who condemned Iran's escalation.
No different from Israel's close ally, the United States also condemned Iran's attack on April 13, 2024.

Then Qatar, which is still a mediator in the Israel-Hamas war, expressed concern about Iran's attack on Israel. Qatar called on all parties to stop escalation and exercise restraint, while China called Tehran's escalation the latest spillover from the war in Gaza. China called on all parties to exercise restraint and not expand escalation.

After launching a retaliatory attack on Israel, Iran warned Israel not to respond militarily to the attack they launched on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Iran revealed that this attack was launched in response to an attack by Israel that destroyed the Iranian embassy building in Damascus, Syria, on April 1, 2024.

Previously, on Saturday, April 13, 2024, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it had destroyed dozens of drones and missiles aimed at military sites in Israeli territory.

According to Iran, this attack was carried out on the basis of Article 51 of the UN Charter relating to legitimate defense. However, the Israeli military claims to have shot down 99% of drones and missiles from Iran with the help of the United States and its allies and states that Iranian attacks have been thwarted before.

Over the past two weeks, Iranian authorities have repeatedly vowed to punish Israel following the deaths of seven revolutionary guards, including two generals, in an attack that leveled the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria, on April 1, 2024.

As a result of this incident, Iran blamed Israel for the attack. Several days after the attack, Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamini, said that Israel would be punished for its actions.
