Delta Flight Offers Once-in-a-Lifetime View of Solar Eclipse from the Air
  • 12 days ago
A Delta flight from Austin to Detroit flew through the path of totality of a solar eclipse, allowing passengers to view it from the air. The special flight sold out 130 seats in 24 hours, and another flight was added from Dallas that also sold out quickly. During totality over Missouri, the pilots performed turns to give both sides of the plane 2-minute views of the total solar eclipse. Passengers received eclipse glasses, snacks, and other gifts while boarding a celebration with balloons and music.
