Attacks on WCK Volunteers Make Israel Even More Cornered and Isolated

  • last month
The air attack that killed seven members of the World Central Kitchen aid group made Israel increasingly depressed and isolated in the international world. The attack launched by Israel on Monday, April 1, 2024, made several countries that were previously Israel's allies furious and asked Israel to end the fighting.

Israel itself admitted the attack was a mistake and apologized for the deaths of the seven members of the World Central Kitchen group. However, Israel's explanation did not help calm concerns abroad; even countries that were initially Israel's allies, such as Britain, Germany, and Australia, opposed Israel's attack on Gaza.

Even United States President Joe Biden, who previously had very close relations with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, admitted that he was furious at Israel's deadly attack. The UN General Assembly has also repeatedly called for a ceasefire.

Pressure on Israel and its government does not only come from the international world; even from within the country, Benjamin Netanyahu is facing a growing protest movement to step down from office. With his various demands, opinion polls show that Benjamin Netanyahu will experience defeat in the near future.
