Felda is facing dire financial strains, recording RM1 billion in losses in 2022, nearly double the RM 545 million in losses recorded the year before, according to the recently released auditor-general’s 2022 report.

Felda has been advised to chart a clear direction towards operating without further financial assistance from Putrajaya, having received RM200 million in grants in 2022 and RM342 million in 2021.
