Jeffrey Wright is set to join Denzel Washington and Ilfenesh Hadera in Spike Lee’s "High and Low," a modern reimagining of Akira Kurosawa’s crime thriller. Details of Wright's role remain undisclosed. Based on Evan Hunter's novel "King’s Ransom," the film follows a shoe company executive ensnared in extortion after his chauffeur’s son is kidnapped. Produced by A24, Escape Artists, and Mandalay Pictures, the project, co-written by Alan Fox and Lee, begins production this month.
