“Mixed emotions” as North East stars attend women’s football film event

Representatives from both Newcastle United and Sunderland’s women’s football teams attended a showing of the new feature-length documentary, ‘Copa 71’ at the Tyneside Cinema recently. The film depicts the events of the first unofficial Women’s World Cup, and the barriers faced by those involved. Daniel Wales reports.
