Lawmaker seeks ban on Filipino dubbing of English movies

Negros Occidental 3rd District Rep. Jose Francisco 'Kiko' Benitez defends his proposed bill that would ban the dubbing of English movies into Filipino, citing a decrease in the number of people who are proficient in the English language. Benitez said that House Bill 9939 calls for a 'conversation between the educational benefits and the creative industry economic costs.'
