What does it take to get the Guinness World record for the planet’s biggest dosa? 75 chefs and 37.5 meters of pastry materials.
A dosa is a thin savory pastry resembling a French crepe.
"We did close to around 111 trials before making the original dosa, so we had a team of 60 students from Ramaiah College who came to help us and it's almost like we started six months back and last 10 days it was intense training and practice and practice, because making a dosa is not only spreading (the batter). The calculation in terms of the temperature and the synchronisation of movements, people rolling together. It all matters when it comes to making the finest dosa," Chef Regi Mathew, Consultant Chef at MTR Foods' Centre of Excellence told AFP.
