Travel agencies in Hungary are optimistic about visa-free entry to China, they see it as a promising opportunity to boost travel.

Viktor Vereb, Hungary’s Manager of Hiseas travel agency, said they are optimistic about the new initiative and have already received travel inquiries, "We are working together with some significant tourism stakeholders to introduce them to some lesser-known Chinese destinations."

Hungary's government says nearly 100,000 Chinese tourists visited the country last year. There are 13 weekly flights between Budapest and four Chinese cities, which could further facilitate travel between the two countries and boost the number of Hungarians visiting China.
