Around 11 million broadband and 36 million mobile customers will experience an inflation linked price increase in April2 - equating to an estimated total of £92.5 million more over the next 12 months - but many can take action now to skip this year's price rises.

With the cost of living still impacting so many people, another rise in bills will be worrying but around 4.2 million consumers are out of contract on their broadband, and are therefore free to switch providers now if they wish to escape potential upcoming price increases. However, 15% have no idea if their broadband contract has expired and nearly half (42%) have the mistaken perception that it’s too much hassle to do so.
