Canberra pharmacies to prescribe minor skin condition treatments as part of expanded trial

The trial allowing ACT pharmacies to supply eligible women with the contraceptive pill, and treat Urinary Tract Infections, has been expanded. But some general practitioners have previously expressed concerns that allowing pharmacies to prescribe treatments for UTI’s could compromise patient safety.
