A 6ft 3in woman says she's trolled for having a 4ft 11in girlfriend - and strangers mistake her for her MUM.
Tall Lizzy Groombridge, 29, got to know Candie Dixon, 31, on Instagram before they met IRL and fell in love.
They never thought anything of their height difference until they went 'Instagram official' - and people began commenting.
She was labelled “Green Giant” by commenters - and people said they thought Candie was her “daughter”.
They also said Candie looked “old in the face” - but still Lizzie was more likely to be “her mum”.
The pair laugh it off - and have started up a joint OnlyFans account to capitalise on their difference.
Now, the pair make £4-5k a month each with their joint content alone - and say it makes them feel “empowered.”
Lizzy, from Truro, Cornwall, said: “People say all the time, we look like mother and daughter - it’s all based on the fact that I’m over a foot taller.
"People comment about our height difference a lot - I’m often made to feel like my height is abnormal in society - whereas my girlfriend’s height isn’t, even though she’s shorter than average.
“I think it’s strange that people find it appropriate to ask intrusive questions about my height - I don’t really mind people asking things like, ‘are your parents tall?’ and ‘have you always been this tall?’ - but it is weird.
“We don’t get a lot of people saying things while we’re out-and-about, it’s mostly online.
“People say we look like mother and daughter - or they’ll insult Candie saying she looks older.
“I get called Green Giant, and asked why I wear heels to make myself even taller.
“But ultimately, we build each other up and we validate each other - those people aren’t relevant to us.”
Candie, a full-time OnlyFans creator who lives with Lizzie in Truro, said: "We get a lot of hate, to be honest.
"Most of them call Lizzy a giant but then contradict themselves by saying I look like her mum. It's so strange!
"My favourite motto is - 'haters make me famous' - so Lizzy and I just rise above them and love the life we live together."
Lizzie and Candie met on Instagram midway through 2021 - after Candie kept tagging Lizzie in photos to get her attention.
They began talking online for months - and finally met in person in November.
Candie helped Lizzie through the breakdown of her last relationship - and made Lizzie aware she had feelings for her.
Lizzie says there was never any demarcation between the friendship ending and the relationship beginning - and everything happened “naturally”.
Lizzie said: “She was my entire support network - at first it was confusing, but then I developed feelings for her and it just made sense.
“We skipped all the stages of awkwardness, like farting in front of each other - as silly as that sounds.
“We’re just more similar as people. I’ve never dated a woman before - but I see her for the person she is, at the end of the day.”
Despite feeling happy and “validated” in her new relationship - Lizzie says she was trolled almost as soon as the pair went Instagram-official.
In the last month, Lizzie has decided to include Candie more in her OnlyFans content - and says she gets a number of “niche” requests related to their height difference.
