Disposable vape ban: Mancunians share their thoughts on government’s plan to ban disposable vapes
  • 2 months ago
Disposable vapes will be banned in the UK as part of government plans to tackle young people taking up e-cigarette habits.

This news was announced at the end of January this year, and comes as part of the government's response to its consultation on smoking and vaping, launched in October 2023.

This new law will ban disposable vapes, restrict flavours and introduce plain packaging so they don't appeal to children, and make it illegal for anyone born on or after January 1 2009 to purchase tobacco products to create a smoke-free generation.

The use of vapes and e-cigarettes in younger children is rising, and we asked people in Manchester for their thoughts on the ban.
