Ultra-processed foods refers to items containing ingredients people would not usually add if they were to cook it at home.
As a result, some experts have called for biscuits, cakes and sweets to be treat like cigarettes.
Foods that fall into the ultra-processed category also include wholemeal bread, fish fingers and baked beans, but according to the British Nutrition Foundation, few UPFs can actually be part of a healthy diet.
