The first of these new models will be released in July this year, and a new one will be released every 12 months thereafter.

Fiat has unveiled five intriguing concept cars that will spawn production versions in the coming years and will be based on the same global platform.

The Italian automaker's new series was announced with a video featuring Fiat general manager and Stellantis Global CMO Olivier Francois, presented in Ginevra, Italy. The first model of this series will be introduced in its production version in July this year, and then a new vehicle will be launched every year until 2027.

The first of the new concepts presented is a city car that is slightly larger than the current Panda and features a design inspired by Fiat's Lingotto building in Turin, which features an oval-shaped test track on its roof. That's why the city car features a lot of oval shapes throughout its design, especially in the cabin where the oval-shaped instrument panel, displays and headrests are located. There are also lots of recycled materials, including plastic and bamboo. Fiat says this model will be offered with a number of different powertrains, including battery-electric setup and internal combustion engines.

Next up is a pickup concept. Fiat Strada is the best-selling vehicle in Brazil and the brand believes it can repeat this success worldwide. Like the city car, the pickup has a retro, boxy shape and is said to combine fun and functionality.

A large fastback with a design very similar to the pickup concept was also offered. It has been labeled as the "successor" to the Fiat Fastback and Fiat Tipo and may prove particularly popular in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Europe. It is joined by a slightly modified SUV version, as well as a camper derivative positioned as a "do-it-all" with rugged styling elements, raised ride height and off-road tyres.

"FIAT is a global brand with 1.3 million cars sold last year and has a solid leadership in many parts of the world," Francois said in a statement. said. “We are in a global game and our next step will be to transition from local products to a global offering that can benefit all our customers around the world. We are excited to share this glimpse into our future; In fact, it is a very near future, because the first car will be introduced in 4 months during the brand's 125th anniversary celebrations. “Later, this car will be followed by a new model every year.”
