Parking charges will be extended beyond 10pm under new plans revealed by Glasgow City Council.

This will include multi-storey parking, off-street surface parking and on-street pay and display.

The new rules will come into effect in April and will impact the city centre and other areas including Hyndland, Woodside, Yorkhill and Barras.

Next up, the People’s Palace will close for refurbishment after the project received £850,0000 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The building along with the Winter Gardens glasshouse are to be completely restored and renovations are expected to cost a total of £35 million.

The museum will close on 14 April for three years.

And finally, more than 38,000 illegal cigarettes and hundreds of illegal vapes have been seized in Maryhill after being sniffed out by a tobacco detection dog.

Police Scotland raided shops in the north part of the city where they made the discovery.
