Easterlies trigger flash flood, landslide warnings in VisMin

Flash floods or landslides may be expected in parts of Visayas and Mindanao in times of moderate to heavy rains due to the easterlies.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday, Feb. 20, said the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean continue to prevail over the archipelago, particularly in the eastern part of the country.
