00:00 Hello!
00:01 Hello!
00:02 Nice to see you!
00:03 I'm glad we're not in a field again, remember that?
00:05 I never forget that actually, every time I think of you I just think of that field.
00:08 You're like sitting cross-legged.
00:10 Literally.
00:11 And it's starting to lash.
00:13 Thank you!
00:14 Oh my god yeah, well Scotland, that's what you expected.
00:16 Are you having more fun though?
00:18 Um, well, uh, yeah!
00:21 Yeah.
00:22 She's fun.
00:23 Blondes do have more fun though, where?
00:25 I think I might be a natural blonde.
00:27 I mean, I'll clearly not be a natural blonde.
00:29 That's me.
00:30 That's me, yeah yeah.
00:31 I couldn't go back to my roots now, because I'm like, no blonde is me, that's my personality.
00:35 Yeah, I feel like it might be me.
00:37 I'm going to take my trainers off, does anyone mind?
00:39 No.
00:40 Absolutely not, you do your thing.
00:41 It's not to wriggle my toes.
00:42 Listen, I love this, this is right up my street, I've been quoting the film ever since I've
00:46 seen it.
00:47 It's become my modern day Mean Girls, I just keep firing out quotes.
00:50 Yeah, that's brilliant, that is one quote!
00:52 Honestly, my favourite line is "you've got an attitude of Ireland about you".
00:57 I'm like, see if someone said that to me, I think I'd fall in love with them.
01:01 That's like my favourite insult, and it's not even a sweary one!
01:04 People have been saying that my whole life.
01:06 Well, it's a compliment, that's all.
01:09 She does exactly what she says on the tin.
01:12 Did you have a favourite line that you're able to repeat?
01:16 Probably not.
01:18 Now, what can we repeat?
01:21 Slippery old dodger.
01:23 Are we allowed to curse?
01:25 We are not.
01:26 Why not?
01:27 The one I can remember, which I've said a hundred times today, is "you look like Queen
01:32 Victoria had a bunch of nettles shoved up your..."
01:36 Bam, bam, bam!
01:38 You've just reminded me of that!
01:40 I want to watch it again so I can remember more of them.
01:43 Now listen, the letters are very beautifully written, I wish I could handwrite like that.
01:48 My handwriting's awful.
01:49 I believe you've got one and it's in your toilet, is that true?
01:52 Yes!
01:53 Tell me about this.
01:54 I just remember it says, so it's quite small letters and it gets bigger with the insults.
02:00 "You deserve to be in hell, you stinky old bitch" or something.
02:05 It's great.
02:06 And I just remember my mum going in there for a wee and sort of peering at it.
02:12 What?
02:13 What is this?
02:15 Who sent that?
02:17 You would though if you were in the toilet, you'd be like "oh, is this about me?
02:20 Is this about us?
02:21 Did you take it?"
02:22 No, but she wrote it to herself.
02:24 Ah, okay.
02:25 I am obsessed with Rose.
02:28 I feel like I would have been Rose back in those days.
02:31 I want to be more like Rose in these days.
02:33 You are Rose!
02:34 I know I am, but I do feel like as I've gotten older I care more about what people think
02:38 and I want to be more like Rose and just not care.
02:40 How are you guys with not caring what people think?
02:43 It's hard.
02:44 I wish I was more Rose.
02:46 Most friends, I mean, I don't care.
02:50 I have no filter with this one.
02:52 Literally all the time.
02:54 I have here as well.
02:56 I'm joking!
02:59 I refuse to hold it in.
03:02 I think it was two dates in with my husband.
03:05 We've been together 30 years, two dates in.
03:07 I felt a bit windy and so I said, "I'm going to, I'm sorry, but this is me."
03:12 And you know, it feels like this is going to go in faces, so I'm just going to be me.
03:16 He farted and he went, "Oh, okay, cool."
03:19 Yay!
03:20 But you want to get it out of the way because that's such an awkward thing as well.
03:23 You want to just be like, "Let's just get this out of the way."
03:25 Yeah, totally.
03:28 Then you can tell, "I've got a friend. I've gone off now."
03:31 Not bad, we love when you go off.
03:34 But there was a really dear friend of mine, she's been with her husband for 20 odd years.
03:38 They have never farted in front of each other.
03:40 I don't understand that. That's a lie.
03:42 I mean, I'm impractical.
03:43 Yeah.
03:44 And dishonest.
03:45 Dishonest.
03:46 I feel like you can't. They must have stomach problems.
03:49 I'm comfy. Can you imagine constantly having to get up and go and hide or open the door and go, "Oh, I'm having a hot flush."
03:55 It could never be me.
03:57 Now, listen, I've only ever had one piece of written fan mail because I'm obviously not on your level yet.
04:02 I would imagine youse have had quite a lot of written fan mail, have you?
04:05 Does it still happen? Is it still a thing? You get letters?
04:07 Back in the day, I did.
04:09 Yeah.
04:10 I used to get sweet sort of photographs to sign.
04:12 Quite often, a couple of times I got Claire Foy's photo to sign.
04:16 So I would send her a picture going, "How do you want me to sign this?"
04:19 And Olivia Williams, occasionally we'd get each other's stuff, which is just funny.
04:26 Yeah.
04:27 Do you get fan mail?
04:28 I do, yeah. I think I do. I don't know.
04:31 You're too busy to read it. You've got someone else surfing through it for you.
04:35 I feel always really nice.
04:38 Yeah.
04:39 It's nice.
04:40 When was the last letter that you wrote and what was it? Do you remember?
04:45 Oh.
04:47 Oh.
04:48 Actually, I...
04:52 I wrote a thank you letter. That's not right.
04:55 I have a lovely friend in Dublin who's older and I sometimes write...
05:01 Yeah, and sometimes I write her letters when I'm away.
05:04 That's just nice.
05:05 That's really nice.
05:06 I'm going to do it more.
05:07 It's lovely getting a letter.
05:09 It is. It's special.
05:10 I love getting a letter.
05:11 Can I... I've just remembered.
05:13 So when my husband and I first got together, he was a student and I was feckless.
05:19 [Laughter]
05:22 He had to go to Hong Kong for three weeks and it was awful.
05:29 Before we'd said we loved each other, but we wrote to each other every day.
05:33 So the first day he got there, he wrote to me and I wrote to him and those letters passed
05:36 and then we would just reply to the letters that we got.
05:38 Do you still have those letters?
05:39 Oh, yeah.
05:40 Oh.
05:41 They're beautiful. On airpaper, you know, because we couldn't afford to phone each other.
05:45 Yeah.
05:46 That's so nice.
05:47 I went to my parents' house and said, "Can I borrow the phone to phone Ed?"
05:50 And they went, "It works!"
05:52 And...
05:53 No.
05:54 And, yeah, that was amazing.
05:57 And those letters, oh, you couldn't sleep at night waiting for the letter to arrive the next day.
06:02 That actually makes me quite sad because, like, you don't have that anymore now.
06:05 No.
06:06 We've got date naps and it's hell.
06:07 We should bring letters back.
06:08 We need this hell out here.
06:09 Yeah.
06:10 We should.
06:11 Yeah.
06:12 That should be the way that men court people because it takes attention to detail.
06:14 Yeah.
06:15 As long as they're not sending you letters like the ones from Wicked Little Letters.
06:19 Yeah.
06:20 I would actually quite enjoy that.
06:21 Would you?
06:22 I would probably be like, "Who's wrote that? I like it."
06:24 But that says a lot about me.
06:25 And instead of a **** pic, you could get a drawing.
06:28 Yeah, ****.
06:29 No, actually, do you know what? I wouldn't mind that so much.
06:32 That would be quite good.
06:33 An artistic impression.
06:34 Yeah.
06:35 [Laughter]
06:37 Is that the Tower of Pisa?
06:39 Oh, it is.
06:40 This is where we're at with dating and romance in 2024.
06:44 But anyway, I could go off on a tangent with that.
06:46 It's so great to see you all.
06:47 You too.
06:48 I love this.
06:49 I can't wait to watch it again so I can get all the insults ready.
06:51 Honestly, loved it so much.
06:52 Thank you.
06:53 Thank you very much.
