Senators slammed for 'politicizing' aid for poor

House of Representatives' Deputy Speaker and Quezon Rep. David Suarez slams senators for politicizing the AKAP or Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program, noting that the program was approved by all of them in the bicameral conference committee of the 2024 General Appropriations Act. Suarez's statement on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, comes after Sen. Maria Josefa Imelda 'Imee' Marcos claimed that the P26.7 billion fund for the aid program would be used for the people's initiative signature campaign.
