Ep 2: Convent of the Blessed Limit. After the comprehensive school fails to break Marmalade Atkins, her parents have another plan to rid themselves of their tomboy daughter - sending her to a convent school. But Marmalade is made of sterner stuff - even if the head nuns look surprisingly butch!
Starring Charlotte Coleman, John Bird, Lynda La Plante, Gillian Raine, Brian Glover, Matthew Scurfield, Sandra Osborn, while among the pupils are Lisa Michelle Hopton, Claire Callaghan, Donna Spinal, Tina Foley, Goia Izquierdo and a certain Julia Sawalha in one of her earliest screen roles. Written by Andrew Davies (he of Pride & Prejudice fame), this is gloriously anarchic and un-PC, with some of the things in here certain to raise an eyebrow, so outrageous is this. These are not my own videos, I may add, but from member Zack Smith, who kindly sent me these to put in my album. So you have him to thank for these - as have I. By the way, the theme tune is sung by none other than the band Bad Manners.
