Cinema guide: Positive reviews for American Fiction and Henry Cavill & Dua Lipa star in spy film
  • 3 months ago
American Fiction is getting some great praise from critics and audiences alike. It follows Monk - a frustrated novelist who's fed up with the establishment that profits from Black entertainment that relies on tired and offensive tropes. To prove his point, he uses a pen name to write an outlandish Black book of his own, a book that propels him to the heart of hypocrisy and the madness he claims to disdain.

Next - one for the whole family is Migration. A family of ducks decides to leave the safety of a New England pond for an adventurous trip to Jamaica. However, their well-laid plans quickly go awry when they get lost and wind up in New York City. Featuring the vocal talents of Kumail Nanjiani and Elizabeth Banks - it's' perfect ahead of half term.

And finally - Argylle stars Henry Cavil and Dua Lipa in a story about a reclusive author who writes best-selling espionage novels. But, when the plots of her books start to come true, the line between fiction and reality begins to blur.
