Hong Kong is rocked by a series of cold-blooded murders whose victims are runaway suspects of unsolved cases. The group of killers calls themselves The Chosen Sleuths.
Detective vs Sleuths is a 2022 Hong Kong action thriller film directed, co-written and co-produced by Wai Ka-fai (韋家輝), starring Sean Lau Ching-wan (劉青雲), Charlene Choi Cheuk-yin (蔡卓妍), Raymond Lam Fung (林峯) and Carman Lee Yeuk-tung (李若彤).
The film has received critical acclaim and was won 4 of total 11 categories at the 41st Hong Kong Film Awards, including Best Director for Wai Ka-fai, Best Screenplay, Best Actor for Sean Lau and Best Cinematography, and also nominated for Best Film.
The film follows a former, mentally disturbed Chief Inspector of Police Lee Jun (Sean) in OCTB, who works with a Senior Inspector of Police Chan Yee (Charlene) in a series of murders which are seemingly connected to past cases they've once inspected. They find themselves in a race against time to find out the truth and the mastermind behind these murders.
