Nicki Minaj recently came off a social media hiatus to make herself the talk of the hip-hop world again.
The Queen of rap gave fans a glimpse of her home life by launching the Backyard Challenge this week. Responding to a Yo Gotti Instagram clip where the Memphis rapper was literally swimming in money, Nicki posted a video showing off her backyard, rocking a swimsuit in what looked like a vacation destination.
With two millionaire entertainers starting off the challenge by showing off their lavish backyards, this may not be an ideal challenge for a lot of everyday fans. But fellow celebrities could be getting involved soon to follow Nicki and Yo Gotti’s lead.
Nicki Minaj’s return to the spotlight saw her drop three new songs last week with the re-release of her 2009 mixtape “Beam Me Up Scotty.”
On Nicki’s YouTube channel, the audio version of “Seeing Green” -- featuring Lil Wayne and Drake -- has almost 9 million views already without a video.
The song is also approaching 9 million streams on Spotify since its release.
