Nicki Minaj is gearing up for a comeback to music after the rap superstar took most of the last year off to be a mom.

Nicki announced this week that she has a new song dropping on Friday. In one of her posts teasing the news, the hip-hop Barbie wore nothing but a pair of bedazzled pink Crocs.

That post caused a spike in Google searches for “pink Crocs.” Sales for pink Crocs increased by almost five thousand percent and crashed the company’s website.

While Nicki Minaj fans waited for her comeback, they recently banded together to turn one of her older songs into an overnight hit record.
The Barbz launched a trend that allowed Nicki’s song “LLC” from her 2018 Queen album to become the No. 1 single on iTunes, three years after its release.

Last month, Nicki Minaj’s video for “Anaconda” became the first female rap solo to hit 1 billion views on YouTube.
