Pulau is a 2023 Malaysian Malay-language supernatural horror film. It stars Alif Satar, Amelia Henderson, Sanjna Suri, Joey Leong and Siew Pui Yi. Its story follows a group of friends who stay on a deserted island and awaken a vengeful spirit.
A group of youngsters' vacation turns into an endless nightmare after losing bets forced them to spend the night on a quiet island. When they stumble upon a mysterious abandoned village there, they accidentally break an old spell set to resist the spirits trapped on the island. One by one, they were created to suffer the depressing consequences of their mistakes, angering animals that needed human blood to survive. The only way out is in the hands of a woman who desperately needs to use her intangible gifts to unravel the unresolved history associated with a transgender love affair.
