Dune: Part Two star Austin Butler sings the praises of the film’s director. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Dune: Part Two is the follow-up to the 2021 film adaptation of Dune. Originally set for release this fall, Warner Bros. pushed Dune: Part Two's release date into 2024, and the film is now scheduled for release on March 15, 2024. In advance of Dune: Part Two’s release, Butler lauds Villeneuve. According to IndieWire, Butler believes that Villeneuve is “one of the greatest filmmakers alive.” Butler went on to note the director’s imaginative spirit, which involved a generative process wherein “his mind will start to percolate, and then he’ll come back with 10 more” ideas after production team members posed an idea.
