Beaten, Smuggled, Enslaved: Gay Asylum Seeker's 5000 Mile Journey Towards UK

"I was caught with my boyfriend by some guys. I was beaten. A relative of mine found me unconscious and saved me. But later on, my boyfriend died. The beating was more than we could save."

This was the night which changed the course of Isaac's life forever.
Five years ago, he was a young, well-educated gay man, in an African country where homosexuality is a crime.

Today, he is living in a tent in one of Calais's makeshift camps which i has visited, desperate to cross the Channel and start a new life in the UK.

Now, he reveals what life is like in the underground smuggling networks bringing migrants to Europe to i's Global Affairs correspondent Molly Blackall.
