An emergency declaration for communities in the Victoria-Daly region who again face evacuation as flood waters rise. police are preparing to airlift dozens of people from the remote community of Pigeon Hole, who are currently stranded on higher ground while residents in Daly river are on flood watch. But with the Howard Springs Centre for National Resilience now in the hands of Defence, safe options for evacuees are limited.
