How U.S. and its allies struck against Houthi rebels in Yemen
  • 3 months ago
In a significant development, the U.S. and its allies have launched coordinated strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen, responding to the ongoing attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea.
The move, supported by the UK, Australia, Bahrain, Canada, and the Netherlands, comes after Houthi fighters targeted maritime vessels and launched a ballistic missile at a cargo ship in the Gulf of Aden.
Houthi official Abdul Qader al-Mortada confirmed the raids on Yemeni cities, condemning what he calls 'American-Zionist-British aggression.‘
As tensions rise, the United Nations Security Council called for an immediate end to Houthi attacks, emphasising the need for global cooperation to maintain stability and the smooth flow of trade in the region.
