Italian Police Get New 190 mph Lamborghini. Supercar maker Lamborghini delivered the Italian police with a rather special Christmas present - a new high-performance patrol car that can reach speeds of almost 200 mph. The special Urus Performante was handed over to the Italian Highway Police in December in Rome's Piazza del Viminale, outside the Ministry of the Interior headquarters. It is the latest car produced by this remarkable collaboration, with the Urus Performante joining Huracán LP610-4 supercars. The latter have even been used to deliver kidneys to hospital at speed. The new high-performance SUV will also be utilised for specialised services, including urgent medical transport missions involving organ and plasma transportation. With this in mind, the Urus Performante underwent customisation by Lamborghini technicians at its Sant’Agata Bolognese HQ. It has an armoured weapon box, a flip-down message display, and a trunk compartment for storing service equipment, and a defibrillator for immediate first aid response. Notably, a portable fridge with a display and data logger for continuous internal temperature monitoring is installed for organ transportation. Outside that, it is still a Lamborghini. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (ca. 60 mph) in just 3.3 seconds, it achieves a top speed of 306 km/h (ca. 190 mph).
