Beijing Accuses Taiwan Government of Exaggeration

China's defense ministry accused Taiwan's ruling party, the Democratic Progressive Party, of exaggerating military threats for electoral gain. Over the past month, China has ramped up military activity around Taiwan ahead of Taiwan’s elections on January 13.
