"My bunny is obsessed with Christmas - he loves opening gifts"

Meet the Christmas obsessed rabbit who can't get enough of opening his family's presents.
Vicky Trotman, 46, has had Teddy, a Mini Lop, for four years and calls him ''the light of my life''.
The mum-of-two admits to treating her bunny ''like a king'' and always makes sure he gets lots of gifts on birthdays and at Christmas time.
She refuses to keep him in a cage, branding it ''cruel'' and gives him free roam of her Sunderland home.
''One day I woke up just desperate to get a rabbit,'' she said.
''It was the best decision I've ever made- he's so lovely and cute.
''He's such a character, some days he's chilled and others he runs and hops about with the zoomies.
''He loves his veg, eats lots of hay to keep him healthy and gets salad every other day.
''But at Christmas time he'll get lots of treats and edible presents.
''He insists on opening all our presents too and loves messing about with the spare wrapping on Christmas morning.
''He's in his absolute element!''
Vicky, a NHS caterer, got Teddy, four, from a breeder in November 2019 - paying £80 for him.
She initially tried finding a Mini Lop at local rescue centres but had no luck.
After bringing him home she decided he would be an indoor rabbit and quickly trained him to wee and poo on a puppy pad.
Aside from digging in the garden and munching on daffodils, Teddy loves a cuddle on the sofa but can get ''annoyed'' if too many people are around the family home.
Vicky, who is mum to a 14-year-old son and 22-year-old daughter, said: ''He tells us if he's not impressed if we've got lots of people around.
''He'll do these little lunges to show he's not happy.
''On Christmas day we don't have too many people here apart from my mum, who he loves.
''He always tries to get in her handbag and she has to shoo him away from it, it's hilarious.''
Vicky has made Teddy his own ''chill out area'' under the stairs so he can relax undisturbed.
She said: ''He's got his own bedroom area under the stairs we call his little den.
''He'll go in there if he's hacked off or in a mood.
''But he's usually very happy and chilled.
''He also loves being in my son's attic room as it's nice and warm up there.''
As she only works on weekends, Vicky enjoys five days a week in Teddy's company, while her partner and son entertain him on the weekends.
Despite Teddy's good behaviour, Vicky admits he has ''chewed the odd wire'' and has bitten her partner, Peter, 37, a painter and decorator, ''but just the once''.
Teddy, has amassed over 15k likes on TikTok after his ''Why I don't keep my rabbit in a cage'' montage, went viral.
On an average day the ''sassy'' rabbit will eat vegetables and pellets- and a salad four times a week.
Vicky said: ''He's never left alone and never lonely, he just loves being around us all.
''For presents, I used to get him toys or things to use but he's not that interested so I'll just be nice things to eat for Christmas this year.
''He loves dandelion wreath and things he can nibble on.
''And lots of treats involving hay as that keeps the digestive system going and should always be their main source of food.
''Generally he's got his routine, it's very sweet.
''He's so friendly, he hops into the bathroom if I'm in the shower and waits for me.
''He can be quite nosy and likes to know where I am and what I'm doing.
''I'd recommend a rabbit to anyone.''
