Big crackdown against YouTubers and journalist - Whoever breaking the law will go straight in jail.
The Lahore High Court has placed severe limitations on journalists, prohibiting them from speaking with detainees in interviews. The court was hearing a petition objecting to interviews with inmates by the media. Justice Ali Zia Bajwa questioned if reporters might coerce suspects into confessing during interviews without their consent. He underlined that the right to silence is just as fundamental as the right to free speech. Speaking with UrduPoint anchor Huma Khalid, high court lawyer Farhad Ali Shah claimed that the journalistic industry is heading toward defamation as a result of social media activists and YouTubers who lack any kind of training or registration.
