In response to the recent surge in Covid-19 cases in neighbouring Kerala and the identification of a new sub-variant of the virus, the Karnataka government has implemented new measures to safeguard its citizens. Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao, in a press conference held in Madikeri on Monday, announced that face masks are now mandatory for individuals above 60 years of age and those with comorbidities.
