Police were dealing with an ongoing incident involving a man on top of a roof in Blackpool town centre on Monday afternoon (December 18).

Market Steet, West Street and Corporation Street are cordoned off while emergency services respond to the incident on the roof of B&M and West Street Car Park.

Lancashire Police confirmed officers were responding to a concern for welfare, with a man appearing in a state of distress on the ledge of the three-storey building at the junction with West Street and Corporation Street.
