In his World Day of Peace message, the pope called
on global leaders to create a "binding international
treaty" for artificial intelligence, CNN reports. .

"technological dictatorship" is at risk.
The unique human capacity for moral
judgment and ethical decision-making is
more than a complex collection of algorithms,
and that capacity cannot be reduced to
programming a machine, which as ‘intelligent’

The pope's message comes after EU officials
agreed to establish the AI Act on Dec. 9.
The landmark legislation will provide a
regulatory framework and address associated risks.
It also prohibits harmful AI practices
