Week 15 Breakdown : Dallas Cowboys vs Buffalo Bills

By: Brittany Bowen

ERIE COUNTY, NEW YORK - The Dallas Cowboys (10-3) are heading to Buffalo to take on the Bills (7-6) after having a three-game home stand. Dallas is on a five- game win streak with four of those wins being by 20 points or more.

Both teams need a win on Sunday, the Bills looking to make the playoffs and need to secure the win against Dallas. While the Cowboys are in the hunt to keep the NFC East while the Eagles are right behind them with the same record 10-3 so Dallas can not afford to lose a game either.

The QB breakdown for this matchup is interesting because both QB's are top five in the league but have different styles of play. Cowboys Qb Dak Prescott is having a stellar season, he leads the NFL with 131.2 pressure rating against man coverage. He is tied with Bills QB Josh Allen and Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes for most multi-touchdown games this season with eight.

Both of these QB's are anchors of their offenses, the biggest difference between the two is turnovers. Prescott had his issues with interceptions last season and Allen is having his issues with interceptions this season. Allen leads the league with 14 interceptions and three fumble recoveries making 17 turnovers on the season. Prescott has six total interceptions this season, obviously far lower than Allen.

Allen is throwing a minimum of one interceptions a game and you know what that means..... Mr. not so Bland will be all over that. This game could easily come down to who has the better defense.

"These are two very good teams and it wouldn't surprise me if this game goes over 60 minutes." Head Coach Mike McCarthy stated in Wednesday morning's press conference that it would shock him if we had an overtime game in Buffalo on Sunday afternoon.

The secondary that Dallas brings is going to give Allen a run for his money. DaRon Bland and Stephon Gilmore are both coming off great games to the Eagles last Sunday. Bland still leads the league with eight interceptions, five of which he returned for touchdowns.

Allen's offense line struggles which also doesn't help Allen's case. He's been sacked 18 times this season and the Lion is not sick this week, expect to see Micah Parsons go for his 13.5 sack this season.

Defensively for Buffalo their secondary is not horrible... but CeeDee Lamb is better. Lamb has scored a touchdown in the last five consecutive games.

After Sunday's win against the Eagles Dallas took control of the NFC East after having one more NFC win than Philly. The race between those two teams are close and the Cowboys are going to have to close this one out on Sunday against the Bills.

Kick off is set for 3:30 PM.
