America's Where I Now Belong
I packed my bags, I took the chance,
Set on dreams, I made the dance,
Left my land, the stars were bright,
Sought a life in America's light.
I touched down, big city gleam,
Hopes so high, it felt like a dream,
But streets of gold, were just a song,
For the life I sought, I was wrong.
Still I stand, under foreign sky,
Learning to laugh when I want to cry,
Here I mend my heart, till it's strong,
America's where I now belong.
Set on dreams, I made the dance,
Left my land, the stars were bright,
Sought a life in America's light.
I touched down, big city gleam,
Hopes so high, it felt like a dream,
But streets of gold, were just a song,
For the life I sought, I was wrong.
Still I stand, under foreign sky,
Learning to laugh when I want to cry,
Here I mend my heart, till it's strong,
America's where I now belong.
