Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley received the endorsement of New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu ahead of the state's first-in-the-nation primary on February 28th. Sununu's endorsement is seen as a boost for Haley's campaign to chip away at Donald Trump's wide lead in the Republican primary race. Polling in November showed Haley in second place among Republican candidates in New Hampshire, behind Trump but ahead of Ron DeSantis and Chris Christie. Haley kicked off a three-day swing through New Hampshire where she has campaigned consistently and recently launched new TV ads calling for Republicans to "leave behind the chaos and drama of the past."
