In a bold statement on Sunday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused the West of attempting to exhaust Russia in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Lavrov asserted that for peace talks to transpire, Kyiv must reconsider its own presidential decree. Sergei Lavrov said that it was up to the Ukrainians to recognise what he called how deep they are in the hole where the Americans put them.
